Famous for their tilted glass mojitos and their Cuban inspired menu. We shared the charcuterie and the Cuban pork plate.

Very classy and pretty looking place. It's not too big, it's not noisy, the surrounding and outside of the restaurant also look pretty. The service was top notch, the waiter has classic old school manners, and by the way they are dressed and the way the place is decorated, this restaurant kind of looks like a good old French gastronomy... My friends from Japan and I stumbled on this restaurant by Melrose. We were ready for something new. We never ate in a Cuban Restaurant so we were ready for an eating adventure. I ordered slow cooked ribs, my friend had a lamb dish and the other had a pork dish. All three dishes seemed to be slow cooked and... More

We stumbled upon this neighborhood gem on a steamy hot day and had a languid lunch while listening to wonderful jazz. We could have hung out here all afternoon. They had a few people eating at the massive bar, under a huge antique ceiling fan. The pace is nice and peaceful at lunch, I imagine it picks up at dinner... More

Very pleasant ambiance with white tablecloth service. Highlights were fresh gazpacho, fried rice with baby shrimp and a silky tortilla soup. Breads and dips are homemade. Highly recommend for classic Spanish/Cuban fare.

We went here for dinner on a Saturday night. We had reservations for 8:30pm. The restaurant was pretty full. We were seated right away upstairs. Our server was slow to get to us. Once he did, he did a good job. He kept our water glasses full and would check in with us every once in awhile. We were a... More

I stopped in on a Wednesday night with 2 friends. Valet is $8. We were the only diners that evening, at 6pm....that is what I mean by quiet restaurant. Good service, good food. I wasn't blown away by anything. I ordered the Sweet Potato Croquettes and the White Truffle Risotto with Shrimp...the dishes were tasty, but not memorable. The Mojitos... More

Beautiful & intimate restaurant on Melrose. The Service: Love the bartender, very friendly and personal. He makes great cocktails! The Drinks: One of their classic cocktail there is mojito. They use FRESH sugar cane juice. YES! there is a sugar cane machine right inside the bar. How cool is that~ The Parking: Street parking on Seward (free) and Valet parking... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
