If I' m not here on Fri or Sat for the great paella then it's PIZZA! I love the mushroom pizza-always so flavorful and hot off the oven. It is so easy to fill up on the terrific bread and garlic oil, but control yourself and enjoy the FOOD!! I don't know if the new minimum wage has anything to... More

I have been enjoying Alejo's food for many years. Everything on the menu is delicious (at least everything I have tried). One of my favorites is the house chopped salad, I no longer live in Los Angeles and sometimes I crave this salad. So on most trips to LA to visit family I go to Alejo's for a fix. Family... More

The bread and garlic are delicious start to the meal. The lasagna was meaty, cheesy and saucy. Although it was a busy night, the food came in a timely manner. Great place for Italian near LMU.

The food was good. My problem is with the service. First there are several servers with different jobs, so it takes a little time to orient yourself to whom the orders must be placed. My main complaint is that when my food came up from the kitchen (I could see it on the shelf in the back) there were 6... More

We love this family run business. The food is wonderful. Be sure to eat the bread with garlic and olive oil. My favorite dish is...oh, gosh, so many favorites, lasagna, spaghetti carbonara with pink sauce, pizza, their salad is even good. The people are so nice and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant. It may not look like much from... More

Set up as a family friendly restaurant it meets that set up. However the meals aren't much to write home about. Had the veal ravioli in white and red sauce the veal was dry the time had chicken canaloni it too was dry and not great.

We wanted a good italian near our place. This will not be the one. Pizzas are not that bad, but very greasy. We both felt sick all night. I won't blame them for the service, it was crowded, still they forgot our wine and our knives/fork while the dishes were getting colder. We also waited for 30mn for a pizza,... More

The Alejo chopped salad is sooo good! They serve soft bread with minced raw garlic in olive oil for dipping. Warning: it's addictive & you will reck of garlic. Try the carbonara, no other compares. If I could can one thing, I'd get rid of the carpet.
