Everything was simply delicious. Portions are the perfect size. Price is typical for house made Italian from scratch in LA. I'm a vegetarian and found the Spaghetti Cacio Pepe completely satisfying. My friends raved about the short rib ravioli and the meat balls. I recommend this restaurant for a travelers or for locals looking for a treat.

At first glance (location) you might think that this Italian restaurant is out of the way. And you're somewhat correct. But it's definitely worth the extra trek. It is refreshing to find an Italian restaurant that doesn't seem to fall into all the Hollywood hype! I really enjoyed the dishes. Yes, they were not perfect...but definitely had great taste and... I never thought that I'd be saying this, but the music was too loud. Otherwise, the atmosphere was great. The service was also very good, attentive and polite. We were all served together, despite one of our party making a late food choice after the rest of us had ordered. That, I think was very proper. The food was very... More

I used to love this place - not anymore. I've been a long time patron here as I do find the food here exceptional. Brussels sprouts - amazing. Carbonara - breathtaking. All the servers - lovely. The new General Manager - Miguel - rude. Consistently. Ever since he was a server. I have marveled over the years as to why... More

My husband rarely eats Italian so when visiting our daughter in LA she suggested one of her favorites places for a bowl of pasta. We shared the ricotta starter, which was very good, as well as the Brussels sprouts. These were the best that we've had...ever. My daughter and I shared a bowl of carbonara, as well as the pasta... So much was very good but I could not put my finger on what I did not like, which I finally found the words, the place lacks heart. I am spoiled by growing up with no money but when my parents took us to restaurants it was special from the minute you walked in the door. I got more spoiled... More

A pretty hip place but located waaaayyyy down Melrose Avenue, east of the studio lots. Large open floor format downstairs and a smaller, intimate setting upstairs. Unless you want to be completely away from the action, you DO NOT WANT TO BE UPSTAIRS so make sure you request downstairs seating when you book. We didn't and paid the price. Many... More

This is an amazing restaurant and staff go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel at home. The food was awesome, everything very fresh and homemade. Don't miss this charming place if you are in the area.

We visited this restaurant after spending a busy day in Hollywood. We were able to call ahead and reserve a table right before we got there. The staff on the phone was very friendly while taking our reservations. Once seated we were brought home made bread which was very tasty and warm. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines... More

Way down Melrose towards downtown in a fairly dumpy neighborhood is la Buca. It's a modern interior with young servers and a young Hollywood crowd. The appetizers were very good. Pizzas, tartare and more. The pasta was great as was the chicken parm. I would go back.
