Auntie Em's offered us exactly what we needed; great meals, fair prices, and generous quantities. I could not have been more pleased.

My daughter and I lunched here after touring Oxy. She had the steak sandwich special panini without the steak. It had Brie, fig jam, tomato and one other item. It was tasty. It came with a side salad. She chose quinoa, carrot and arugula. I had half sandwich half salad. The sandwich was curried chickpea on whole grain bread. It... More

Great place for breakfast and lunch. Had the meatloaf sandwich and it was awesome especially with their homemade ketchup. Portions will satisfy the hungriest appetite. My wife had the egg torta and said it was yummy. To survive in LA you have got to have good food and Em's has found the secret.

Great coffee. But more than that is the fantastic Summer Scramble - organic eggs with mozzarella and basil over heirloom tomatoes in a balsamic reduction - wow!Had the organic multigrain toast, also great.

... because he or she is probably working in the kitchen of this little Eagle Rock Gem between classes at Occidental College. California Brunch Cuisine at it's little diner best! Take home the cupcakes for later! You'll be glad you did!

Auntie Em's is a little gem in Eagle Rock. Expect a line when you get there. Much of the menu is "specials," meaning they just don't get in a rut. No guarantee that this will be served when you arrive, but we tried the salmon scramble (wild-caught salmon, which is a rarety!!), the spare rib hash, and the sausage grits... More

It looks a bit funky and it's small, but go there. Just go there. The roasted sweet potato-goat cheese-caramelized onion-arugula on cranberry pecan bread was the best thing I ate in two weeks in California. The chocolate cupcake was really good, but that sandwich! Good iced tea, nice salads, all sorts of different people eating here, and a stop at... More

We ordered the biscuits with gravy, and a side of grits. The former is very heavy, so unless you are a big eater I would avoid it. The service is always friendly here, and the coffee is good.

Breakfast and Lunch Menu can be viewed online and chalkboard specials. Despite the difficult parking, the place is always full and often people are waiting. We had one of the specials-- I had quiche and fruit, my friend had quiche and salad. Very tasty. Good size portions Fast, friendly service. Mix and math furniture. Some tables out in front.

We stopped here from breakfast before our long ride home. The food was very good and service was very pleasant.
