Reviewed yesterday NEW

We just ate lunch here yesterday as my wife was craving their chopped taco salad. Mind you, we hadn't been here in 3+ years, and since we were in town, my wife urged me to stop in. We walked in at 1145a, and its a surreal experience as it was bright and sunny outside, yet eerily dark inside. Nonetheless, they... More

So approaching this place had me a bit uneasy but when you walk in, it's pure charm. The portions are gigantic, the staff is extremely courteous, and the pace of the kitchen was spot on. I have nothing but love for this spot after my first visit and I will be going back!

I have high expectations for Mexican food in California, as several restaurants that I have eaten at in the LA area have been some of the best food I have eaten. We had a recommendation to eat here from a local foodie so I had high hopes for a great dinner. The margaritas started out nicely...ordered a Cadillac and it... More

Some of the best burritos ever! I catch myself daydreaming of this place sometimes. I also love the old school ambience, dim lighting and great service. This place rocks!

Been around for a long time. Since 1956. The food is good, the margaritas excellent, but the prices are ridiculously high for Mexican food. +Parking can be an issue, so valet will likely add another $4.50.

It starts when you arrive --- $4.50 for valet parking, despite the presence of a large parking lot behind the building. Standard cocktail $12.... my date ordered a single taco with rice (at the bar): $13.90. Ridiculous, given the decor and location.

First, let me say I have been a patron of this establishment for almost 10 years. Typically going to the bar at least once a week. However, we recently moved a little further away so I haven't been back in several weeks. My husband and I were there this Sunday afternoon and realized there was a significant price increase. Second,... More

The food is really really great Mexican food, and the price at lunch is reasonable and you leave with a full belly. We were so happy to find this place we ordered dinner to pick up the next night, and for the same meal it went from $24 to $51 we couldn't believe it. I don't know if drink prices... More

We had 15 people and the restaurant totally accommodated us. The food was good, the interior was fun and tacky in a good way. The drinks were excellent. We all had a fun time and saw Andrew Dice Clay in the restaurant. We went super late (After 12am) and it was perfect.

We sent our margaritas back three times. We almost left after attempt number two. It just wasn't worth the hassle. The drinks tasted bitter and not at all yummy like a Cadillac style margarita ought to taste. The waiter was patient and didn't make a fuss and he was quite nice about it, so he insisted on a third try.... More
