When a dish is supposed to be Risotto, I expect it to be made with Arborio rice, and be creamy. My Risotto-lie dish was bland, and was NOT made with Arborio rice. Dessert was excellent, as was the coffee...and the view can not be beaten!

Very fresh and well prepared seafood. I had grilled octupus served on a bed of white beans and very thinly sliced Russian potatoes with and olive oil and lemon...perfect. As an entree, the black cod was fresh and beautifully prepared. Nice menu selections. Very nice service, lovely views of sunset over the Pacific.

This restaurant wins for the view and ambiance, they've done it right with outside cabanas, or inside tables. The food is seafood done right, it can be a little on the pricey side but hey it really good quality food, done right. Have to mention the bar as they do really good cocktails and have a good selection of sparkly's,... More

The view is just amazing! We saw dolphins whilst lunching over burgers and fish with salad and of course a glass of champagne. It can get quiet hot with the sun beaming down so wear something light. Food is a good price pay average $20-$30 depending on the meal type of course. Friendly staff. Good for singles, couples, groups or... More

I have called in sick at work just to eat lunch here so that I could enjoy the ahi tuna burger with taro chips, as it's available only during weekday lunch. we usually come 4 times a year to sit outside on the deck right out on the ocean to enjoy a couple of their original mojitos, some oysters, and... Although it was November, the sun was shining well and the terrace at this place was hot. Beautiful view while having a great tuna steak with excellent service! I was not able to expect just a great lunch! I truly recommend this place.

Great views from the outdoor patio. Right over the ocean. The outdoor booths had roofs and curtains to block out the direct sun. Food was very good. Great place for a leisurely lunch!! Usual lunch fare. Sunset would be beautiful as well from here.

We booked this restaurant due to the overwhelming positive reviews on TripAdvisor. The setting is five star, we were situated on a table with unhinged views of the water. Service was exceptional and staff were very attentive. Bread was brought to our table, fresh out of the oven and may I say, the butter was one of the best I... More

We had a table by the window, nice ocean view, good food, Ahi Tartare is a must try. Our server, Roxanne, was fantastic, helped to make our evening very enjoyable. Moonshadows has a nice bar and outdoor seating.

Staying in Malibu

Neighbourhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
