It was a beautiful, sunny day. Slight breeze and hot sun. Combined with the staff (oh so pleasant) and the food....just another great day. Reservations are suggested, and i strongly advise making them as they fill up quickly. That being said, they always try and work-in people who just show up. The wait can be 20-30 minutes, but the atmosphere... More

We happened upon this oyster oasis on a recent road trip and it was an amazing experience. I would definitely make a reservation during busy times we were able to get 2 spots at a community table and that was a lot of fun. No better way to spend an afternoon than eating oysters with a cold beer or glass... More

Stopped by on the way back to SF so got a standing spot, reservations required for tables. The bbq oysters are the best we had in the week but we found the raw oysters quite bland - indeed the staff described them as 'sweet water oysters'. Wines by the glass just right for standing up next to a shack -... More

We stopped there on our way back home. I was close to 5:00PM and they were ready to close. We went to the counter where they served the to-go oysters. There, a friendly host explained we could get raw oysters but they would not chuck them. I always travel with my special oyster knife so .. no problem. We got... More

It's far away and with picnic sort of comfort, but it's an excellent excursion and well worth the trip. Remember to book well in advance as they do t answer the phone nor accept online bookings on the same day, if it's a busy sunny day. As soon as you are beyond the hostess, the service is fast, funny and... More

What a different idea of an oyster feast. Chuck your own and take a seat on the camp like grounds, with fellow oyster lovers. I had a bit of a hard time getting the slippery delicacies to open, but the nice waiter was kind enough to help me out. I was so excited ( oysters and bubbly) that I didn't... More

Oysters were super fresh. The grilled oysters are excellent as well. The smoked trout was perfect balance of saltiness and smokiness. A few bottles of beer and it is the perfect place for a relaxed afternoon.

The oysters were incredibly sweet and fresh. We also had smoked trout, baked oysters and an order of charcuterie. Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. The food was not cheap, but definitely worthwhile! Best to make reservation, well in advance. If you want a picnic table, make that booking way in advance!

3 dozen oysters, 2 bottles of wine and a gorgeous sunset! We can't wait to bring our boys back for an oyster fest! Don't forget knives and a cutting board as those are not provided. We recommend bread, cheeses, bacon, cream sauce, shallots or onions (grill in skin to scoop onto oysters).

I say tranquil, because when I got there, it was raining. Yup, raining in Marin county, which I understand happens a wee bit more than down in the Bay Area. Went up on Sunday morning, so if it had been a nice day, it would have been crowded. No lines just a bunch of rain-hardened visitors like us to slurp... More
