The whole hog experience at Hog Island Oyster Co. was such a memorable experience for my family and I. The oysters simply can't get any fresher than having them here. My husband and son easily learned how to schuck oysters and were happy to pick...up the new skill. Our tour guide Marlon was very knowledgeable and taught us about the care and work that goes into raising oysters leading up to when they get eaten. This was a very relaxing atmosphere with delicious food and drink and I look forward to visiting again sometime.More

Took the Oyster Farm Tour - it was a great experience. I learned a lot and you could tell our instructor liked what he is doing. Shucked some really tasty oysters.

If you are considering booking the Hog Island Oyster Company Whole Hog Farm Tour Experience...go for it! It was interesting, entertaining and very education. They take great measures to ensure their oysters are safe to eat. After the tour, they are very generous with the...oysters and the charcuterie plate is massive. Plus shucking your own oysters is a rewarding experience! You will not walk away hungry. The outdoor seating along the bay is beautiful and the employees are great. If you can't book a tour, stop by and enjoy the Boat Oyster Bar for tasty oysters, drinks and a great view of Tomales Bay. You could also try Tony's Seafood down the road which also has great views, as well as an expanded menu and live music on the weekends. If you can't make it to Marshall, CA, (but I recommend you try because West Marin County has such a chill, laid back vibe) try one of their several locations around the Bay Area. Hog Island Oyster Co. is just plain "good people" and you are guaranteed to enjoy any of their restaurants or experiences.More

Went on the Farm Tour with Marlon for our guide. He was knowledgeable and led us on a very fun and educational tour. We learned how to shuck oysters too. After the tour, we drove to Tony's Seafood restaurant where we ate more oysters.

Excellent location right on the water. Perfect weather when we were there. Oysters (raw and grilled) were outstanding. Sweet with a little brine. Excellent bread, cheese, and meat. Wine selection went well with the fresh seafood.

We had a group of friends gathering reunion in Bodega Bay from March 31st to April 2nd weekend. On the way to Bodega from the bay area and some from Southern California! We decided to drop by the famous Hog Island Oyster Co to pick...up some shell foods...of course, oysters, mussels, and clams. Our Accura MDX got some burnt oil issues, we asked Hog Island for directions for the close by a gas station or garage service. Joe Grey! the Hog Island mechanic heard and volunteered to take a look at our car! after he checked our oil levels and decided to go back to the shop garage to get a few quarts of 5-30 oil and filled it for us. While he filled and checked our oil levels, he engaged in a conversation with us and asked what was the occasion for passing by Hog Island co to Bodega Bay. We told them that we wanted to pick all the seafood and headed for a long friendship reunion weekend in Bodega Bay. We told him that we were willing to pay for the oil and gave him an appreciation tip for his willingness assistance. Surprisingly, he declined our payment for a couple of quarts of oils and tips! We insisted but he told us that he was glad to assist someone that needed a helping hand and hoped to return to Hog Island in the near future....just paid forward! he said. We told our story to friends at the reunion that everyone just dropped their jaws with a shockingly surprised gesture by Hog Island co GREAT employee. The best friendship reunion event included you, Joe! God bless you, Joe Grey!More

My family and I recently dined here and was extremely disappointed by the quality of the seafood. Several members of our party became sick after eating the seafood, and as a result we had to cut our trip to Point Reyes short. This was a...major inconvenience and a huge disappointment. In addition to the poor quality of the food, the service was slow and the atmosphere was uninviting. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning in the future. It is clear that the management and staff do not prioritize the health and well-being of their customers. Stay far away from this establishment.More

There was a 15 minute wait for a weekday lunch seating, but totally worth the wait. Staff were very helpful and accurate in communication. I ordered the individual grilled shrimp skewers (asked for 4 and was served 5- yum) with a garden salad. Best ever,...perfectly cooked and had a nice light charcoal flavor. My husband ordered Geoduck Fritter, which was not really a fritter at all, but still very tasty like a large plate of deep fried clam strips. Nice selection of beer on tap. Superior service.More

The one hour oyster tour was a great way to learn about oyster farming, all the way from hatchery to the oyster making it to the restaurant. The tour involved limited walking so it would be appropriate for people with limited mobility. The tour ended...with a quick oyster shucking and tasting lesson. Great way to spend an hour while driving down the coast.More

We took the 1 down to San Francisco stopping by the Hog Island oyster Co. As a chef, I have been shucking these oysters in restaurants for years. I have never tasted them as good as having then on premises. Raw and roasted were amazing,...but thr real surprise was the delicious couscous salad.
