This is the place to stop to load up on oysters. Eat them while visiting or take a sack home and BBQ some later. Grown locally, of excellent size and delicious.

We went there over Labor Day and were not disappointed!! We brought our cooler and bought oysters, clams, mussels. The folks working there are amazing and they helped us out with everything we needed. They even gave us a quick 'how to shuck and oyster'...lesson. Well worth the trip - we will be back!!!!!More

Bring your cooler & ice. If you want super fresh oysters, not upscale prices, where the locals get their oysters, very warm & friendly service...then come to this fantastic oyster place. This is not a boutiquey kinda place, more like a canopy storefront, with a...few tables showing you the type of oysters they have, & their prices & nylon bags of oysters ready to haul away back home. Tomales Bay Oysters Company is just focused on providing some of the freshest & tastiest oysters. We came the Friday before Mother's day weekend. We were greeted by the Australian gal whose dad owned the place, & was minding the place. I'm sorry I forgot her name, but she was charming & engaging and really enjoyable to talk too. We bought dozen of Golden Nugget ( outstanding) dozen of Tomales Bay, (really good) & a dozen of Kumamotos ( so divine & delicious), at what we believed were great prices, compared at what ypu pay at the higher end oyster bars/ restaurants. Then she directed us to the Marshall Store just down the way, where her brother manages it, & had some lunch. BTW, Super delicious Clam Chowder @ the Marshall Store &.... Ivers, up in Seattle is some of the best. This Chowder is equally as good. Definitely stop by & pickup your oysters here...it's a bit down the road from the more touristy Oyster place ...but sooo worth it!!More

This is always a "must" stop for us. The oysters are off the charts delicious, the folks are friendly and very helpful. We spend a month in Sonoma, the trip is not complete without picking up our oysters and mussels from here. Don't miss it!!!!!

You watch the boats a few feet away docked in the bay collecting oysters and bring back the harvest, they are sold right away. They were so yummy, just squeeze some lemon and voila! It was so nice to get out in the fresh countryside...after being in lockdown for 3 monthsMore

Get a t-shirt to remember your visit to this oyster laden area on Tomales Bay. This is a great place to start your oyster journey as it is never as crowded as the places that come after this. I love my new t-shirt!

she even found a pearl once. But on a recent trip I was floored by the prices. The smalls are a good bet, skip the 'golden nuggets' not worth it, not much meat. the prices were better at Phil's at Moss Landing. They were very...peculiar tasting brine. I guess I have gotten used to a milder Florida brine. Best oysters are probably in Louisiana. Go to the Blind Pelican in NoLa for Happy hour. 25 cent oysters 365 days per year. I had 4 dozen. dont know the prices at Nick's or Hogg Island or the other local places. If you do go , you can't eat there. get some ice and take them a quarter mile north and eat them at the little state park there. Everyone does. Used a towel so you don't stab yourself!More

Spent the day in Bodega Bay but drove here 1st to pick up some oysters for lunch. Bought some nuggets and extra small oysters...creamy and delish! We brought our own lemon and cooler, they gave us bag of ice. We didn't have shucking knife, used...cheese knife, not the same. Would invest in shucking knife for future.More

We’ve been picking up oysters for the annual neighborhood summer get-together for over a decade and there’s a reason we keep going back. They sell oysters fresh out-of-the-bay. For shucking and eating, the small or extra-small are the best; for grilling, mediums or large do...the job. Often, they’ll have “imported” oysters (maybe from Washington) added to the options, but we usually opt for the local goodness. Note: This is not really a restaurant. The picnic area has been closed for a couple of years but there is a state park down the road. Bring your ice chest (and an oyster knife if you’re going to picnic)More
