I'm not usually in the mood for Mexican food because so often it turns out to be over-cheesed or greasy; however my daughter insisted I would love this place and turns out she was right. It is a little ways east of town but worth the short drive. Nothing fancy inside but the booths are comfy and the staff friendly... More

Stop in for different flavors than you are use to. the husband and wife team are the best. Their food is always fresh and made to order. Dress is casual prices are where they should be for what you get.

CASA MAYA always brings a smile to my face....for two reasons. One, my fishing buddy and I always eat here after a day of fishing for wild trout in the mountains above Mentone. Two, the food is outstanding. Mexican fare with a twist of Mayan. Amazing home made tortillas. Black beans that melt in your mouth and a host of... More

Food was excellent. Service was fabulous. I had a cheese enchilada and it was yummy. The Chicken enchilada was even better. Oh and the FLAN what can I say it was marvelous. This hole in the wall place to eat is THE place to get Mexican food in Redlands and Mentone.

We came for lunch recently. I've eaten here probably ten times over the years. I generally find it quite expensive and I've never had anything I really love. The salsa we got at the table was still cold and set in almost like a gelatinous state. The salsa is very bland to boot. We shared a couple of potato and... More

Well maybe not completely different, but this is not the usual Mexican food. I think the Yucatan spices are great! But the restaurant also has some more "traditional" (i.e. northern Mexico) offerings. As others note here, this place is obscure-looking and in the very obscure village of Mentone. But if you're going to/from the mountains on 38 you go right... More

Moved away 12 years ago & was excited to have lunch @ 1 of my favorite places. The traditional Yucatan dishes are as delicious as ever! What a treat!

Unassuming place and location, but don't let that fool you, because the food is OUTSTANDING!. Home made tortillas, Influence is from the Yucatan Peninsula region. You'll want to try the Chicken Poc Chuc Soft Tacos. The meat is so flavorful spiced with Achiote , and that's what sets this Mexican restaurant apart from the others.

The chile verde was excellent, not salty, the chile relleno was good. The machaca was the best ever. So much better than any other machaca. The chicken taco was really delicious with the tortilla split open with beans in a delicious local fashion. The tortillas are made-to-order. They are really tasty. Because they make their own tortillas, the food didn't... More

Surprised this restaurant isn't in Redlands listing since its so close. Took more time to find it than it should but its only because its soooo good that I made the effort because it's one of THE BEST Mexican restaurants I've ever had a meal at. For something different try a dish with the mole sauce. Really good. Really good.... More
