This is a small owner operated cafe that a big step up from the chain restaurants in service and the quality and originality of the food. Nothing exotic or spicy but still a good place eat if in the area.

Got there early for breakfast, before the market opened, for an artichoke omlet. Very good with a few not chewable artichoke leaves. Side of bacon was very good. Service and atmosphere was perfect for this roadside diner. I would return when in the vicinity.

If you are really hungry half way between Santa Cruz and Monterey, you might stop by this roadside little fish and chips place. Staff is nice and food exactly what you can expect from a place like this . If it wasn't for the constant road noise, patio seating would be enjoyable. Fish and chips was standard , and clam... This was always our place to stop on the way down to Carmel or Monetery, specifically for the artichokes. We don't even look at the menus and always order the same thing and it has always been wonderful. However, on our most recent trip, we've found out that they are no longer serving any of the artichoke dishes. We were... More

This is a "dive" in the classic sense. Picnic tables with rubber table cloths paper napkins and the same silverware you stole in college. I ate breakfast there with a mate. We both had omelets that were fresh, tasty and a good value. Toast is toast, and so is theres. The hash-browns were the way I like them and the... More

Right next to a large fruit stand right on the Hghwy 1 at Moss Landing. Easy parking and great breakfast and midday snacks. They close early so no dinner option here...

right in the midst of the Artichoke capital of the world and what? no longer any deep fried artichokes? the sandwich taken off the menu was deep fried artichoke heart on piece of Feta Cheese with light dressing and lettuce on cibatta roll. I could not believe when arriving this week-end for my "dare I eat this delicious sandwich", addictive,... More

We tried the fancy restaurant next door, but there was a 20 minute wait, so we wandered over here. Quick, much cheaper and good food. I had fish tacos, hubs had the Hawaiian burger and we shared his sweet potato fries. Everything was good.

Yes, not only is the food excellent but the service too is excellent. And that 's the combo special! Plus they serve breakfast till 2pm! Our hungry group of nine was superbly served and looked after by Rebecca. Food portions are better than good, tasty and affordable at this casual relaxed look restaurant. Give it a shot. You won't be... More
