We recently had a lunch at Pita Jungle. We were not impressed with any of the dishes nor the service. Yet another blah, blah -- there is nothing special about it -- place.

I come to New Port every year for work... And it has become a religion to go to Pita Jungle at least once if possible twice to eat food here..... The food is excellent.... Specially the jalapeño cilantro hummus... It's my favorite. The people are amazing and very welcoming.... Lot of food for vegetarians. A must visit....
The only thing wrong with this restaurant is the NAME, which sounds like fast food. It IS a casual restaurant but it is a sit down place with excellent Mediterranean appetizers, salads, cold and hot sandwiches. They also have a small number of hot entrees (salmon, chicken etc.) Two of the best items on the menu are the Mediterranean chicken... More
A spur of the moment visit turned into a pretty great experience. They have Mediterranean cuisine, with the chef's spin on it. Naturally I had a hamburger. Duh! Excellent choice though - not like a whole bunch I've had before. Great quality meat. It came with a side salad that made the burger a side dish. The salad was WONDERFUL!... More
If you can get yourself past the tough parking situation and understand that this is not a quiet place to have a romantic discussion, you are on your way with a fun, open atmosphere, yummy food, many choices and great portions. If I could change anything it would be where it is located. Looking out from the patio at the... More
I attended a small conference and we had a dinner on the patio. The food was terrific -- better than at another Pita Jungle where I ate that was very good. The service was excellent.
I wish I could split my overall rating, but averaged the excellent food with the poor service, hence the average review. I was supposed to meet a colleague, who never showed up (I found out later that he had forgotten because of a sick child and a night-before visit to the emergency room). I dined anyway, figuring my colleague would... More

This is completely unacceptable to us as well and we will be looking into this immediately and taking the necessary action. This is not the level of service our guests have come to... More
Some of the reasons this is my favorite local restaurant:yummy, healthy entrees, good prices, lots of choices, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Their permanent menu has several favorites plus they have about 8 entrees on a special menu that rotates every couple of months. Recently I've had the seared yellowfin tuna honey sesame salad and the ahi (raw on the special... More
