I've been going to Benihana for 30+ years. Going as a kid used to be such a fun event. It has fallen off so far it's almost depressing because I remember what it once was. The showmanship of the chefs is so lame compared to...More

Don't get me wrong. The food was OK. Not bad, not good, but OK. In the "old days" at trip to Benihana was a treat. You knew that your table side chef was going to be a Japanese gentleman who was a highly trained artist...More

I came with my entire family (a party of 9 people) to celebrate my son's birthday. We ended up eating a selection of filet mignon and chicken along with regular shrimp, colossal shrimp, scallions and fried rice. Everything was excellent. We ordered the filet mignon...More

It's the show as much as the food that keeps us coming back each year--and we save the photo. The pollutant-laden intestines are left in the shrimp. Too much salt and butter for our taste. Next year, we'll advise the chef not to add either...More
We visited a Benihana in Cupertino and loved it. This had a similar menu but was not quite as nice, in terms of food quality and service. Also, an out-of-the-way, dated location.
