Terrific location on waters edge. Service was good and suggestions by server was good. Food was very tasty and ambiance was great as you felt at home in an old style beach restaurant.

Stopped here on the drive down to San Diego. Had a short wait for a table, beef ribs poutine was delicious, great views.

Parking is across the Highway. Take the walk through the tunnel rather than the shuttle bus. The Ahi tacos are a must and the Avocado and Lobster sandwich is awesome.

We recently asked a friend to suggest a place in the Newport Beach area for lunch. Her reply, “for ambience and food, The Beachcomber”. We were wary of walking the tunnel path but what a great find! Mahi Mahi tacos and Kobe beef burger were...More

You cannot beat the location...this place is right on the beach and has stunning views. It's amazing. But the food is average and overpriced. Highly recommend this place for cocktails and appetizers.

We visited The Beachcomber after enjoying a beautiful sunset on the beach. The restaurant has its own ceremony as the sun sets and it was such a magical, special touch that created an everlasting memory. The location of The Beachcomber can't be beat as it...More

And during the season when children are in school. We waited 20min at 11am midweek.... not bad. It's on the register of historic buildings/ businesses. Park across the street and they validate.

Can't comment on the food because we never got there. Restaurant is located in a California state park with no parking. Parking is across the street, costs $15. For $1.50 per person a shuttle will take you from the parking lot, across the Pacific Coast...More

Ambience, the ocean, long sandy beach and delicious food... What more can you ask for?! Nestled in the historic Crystal Cove resort is their rustic & charming indoor/outdoor restaurant. Many movies have been filmed here (Beaches with Bette Midler for one). You park on the...More

There was no one there when we arrived around 8:00. By 8:30 there were four additional families. Ordering food doesn’t take long but getting the food takes longer than “normal” because it’s all made to order.

Genuinely don't know about GF but I doubt they'd have any issue if you told them.
