You can tell a lot about a business by the way it treats customers. Two years ago, my husband and I entered a raffle at a fundraiser and won a gift certificate worth $50, to be used at this restaurant. We live locally and noticed its beautiful location but had never tried it. Shortly afterward, we tried to have dinner... More

Everything was great at this restaurant except a couple of things. The staff was good, I wouldn't say great, if I have to crane my neck to look for service numerous times while spending a Ben Franklin for a dinner of two ugggh not good. The service when it was there was great , pleasant staff, friendly...not super attentive....next ....food... More

You want an Excellent Breakfast in the Oakhurst area, then this is the place to come too. Lunch and dinner is not so good in my opinion, but the Breakfasts are really really good. Be sure to try their French toast, they offer a mini size and I had trouble finishing it ( I am 6'3" @200 Lbs.). They make... More

We went there twice during our time in Yosemite/ Fish Camp. The service is good as is the food quality. DO not expect fine dining, but that is not what one is coming there for anyway. We think it is good value for money and much better than other choices in Fish Camp.

Had visitor from Germany and took them there for a birthday dinner. They loved it and that is what they wanted to see as a "American back in the day" building. Woody is a wonderful chef and all 3 of us had a different meal and loved it. It was a great portion as well. Thank you to Ted and... More

Went here on my 32nd wedding anniversary -- first time at Sierra Sky Ranch in 40 years. It's a nice rustic atmosphere with soft "cowboy" music playing in the background. The first issue was that the green beans, advertised as "served with seasonal vegetable or green beans" on every entree, were unavailable. Although the seasonal vegetable of parmesan zucchini was... I came with a group of paranormal investigators to SSR. We picked our main course ahead of time as the kitchen staff was severely undermanned and with advance notice it was hoped that the dining experience would be smoother. My choice read "porkloin with peach brandy." I got anemic pork chops. Ugh. No thank you. I got the green beans... More

This is the place I take out of town guests. It is a rustic setting, western style, and the food is great. Ted, your host, is gracious and makes you feel that you belong there. To the locals, this is Sierra sky ranch. The hotel is not bad either.

We didn't dine in. Ordered food to go. The restaurant was very quiet at 7pm on a Saturday night. We ordered their weekend special, the smoked prime rib and chicken fried steak. We are happy with our meals. The prime rib was tender and juicy. Chicken fried steak has a crunch even under the gravy and meat was still juicy.... More
