Some friends took us out to their regular bar and restaurant, Old Juan's was fun with a great atmosphere friendly staff and a bartender with a heavy hand. I had the shrimp stuffed jalapeños which are a take on chili relleno. They were so good I wanted to bring some home in my pocket.

It was late but still wanted a bite or two to eat. We were thinking it would be a light dinner. Old Juan's was just a short distance away so we thought we'd walk down to it and enjoy a taco or two. There were four of us and our wait was short. Our waiter was courteous and efficient and... More

Took a long time to get a table though there were lots of empty ones. Girl seating people was not very friendly or helpful. I didn't feel that they cared if we were there or not. Hispanics seemed to get better tables.

My wife and her sister visiting went out for lunch because she wanted Mexican food. The food was good and also the service, however I will give it a medium rating for this visit.

I attended Juan's Cantina with friends on a Friday evening and we were able to seat four couples. It took a bit of doing to get a table for all of us but we were successful. Pretty good food and had a beer during "Happy Hour" for $2 but at the stroke of 7 PM the price jumped to $4.... More

Food is good but there is nothing outstanding that I can mention. I am probably missing something because the parking lot is always packed full during holidays and during the summer with the tourists. Maybe it's the bar? We don't know about that so can not review.

We stay in Pismo every year with our family, this year we had 18 of us. It's not easy to find an affordable yet someplace that can accommodate 18. The food was fantastic and the swervice was great. we so enjoyed our last day at this restaurant and highly recommend old Juan 's cantina.

Wait staff were excellent but the drinks were weak, salsa tasted like it was store bought, & the 2 dishes we got were bland.

Had dinner before we went to the Melodrama and it was great. The place was packed for a Saturday night but we were seated quickly. I had the Adobo Poblano which was grilled chicken and shrimp stuffed in two large Poblano chiles. It was a fine change to my normal burrito or enchiladas selections. My wife had the Chile Verde... This place has fantastic margaritas, especially the strawberry. The food was just OK (obviously all store-bought ingredients), but the portions were large. The service on the other hand, has much to be desired. The hostess just stood around talking to another employee about personal things for a long time before she even acknowledged us. The waitress was very slow, grumpy,... More
