My waistline couldn't handle me eating like this every week, BUT after hiking the redwoods I was happy to indulge daily! Home cooked, quality food, super nice knowledgeable staff. DO NOT MISS!

We had lunch for 6 people: 3 adults & 3 kids. The grilled cheese sandwich is to die for. They grill it and then grill outside with cheese. YUMMY. Not so hot about turkey plate (fried processed meat) or fish/chips (too greasy). Chili was very thick, hard to eat but good. Soup was good. Pies were very good. Service was... More

Awful ... dirty! Really disappointing food. At least it was only breakfast . Even the restrooms are filthy.

My husband and I were riding out a storm, decided to stop in for a slice of pie and a warm drink. The pie was delicious, the service was great & the locals were friendly. Make sure to get the full experience and sit at the counter!

Listen, sometimes you stumble into something so real and so good, you can't believe your good fortune. Palms Café is that way. I wander in, cold to the bone from a long ride in the fog on a small motorcycle. There is a meeting going on in a side room. 8 or 10 native American women, and a couple of... More

The counter's Formica may be worn from years of cleaning, but the place is well cared for and the food is good. You can even chat with the cook as he prepares your meal. We shared his 3 egg omelet and did not have enough room to sample the pies (DARN!). Not fancy, but I liked the down home atmosphere.

We couldn't find anywhere to eat Fter visiting the big trees but we happened on this cafe, from the outside it is unprepossing and internally it's quaint and old fashioned but the staff were great and the food really good.

I have eaten here a few times and it is always good home style cooking. If you have room you will want to try the pie.

Well, if you want to go back in the past, stop and stay at the Palm Café and Motel. If you want some home cooking meals, eat at the Palm Café and Motel Restaurant. Jerry, the main man.......gave me a free hat and coffee mug and gave us directions to all the hot spots along 101 North. He recommended Fern... More

Greasy food ! Shabby surroundings. Filthy restrooms! Not recommended at all but they probably have the monopoly in Orick!
