Special cupcakes is what it is all about. They have a good variety, and each is special in its own right. Great at any age.

I don't understand people who don't like frosting, who eat the cake or the cupcake but eschew the best part. You know who you are. Don't go to Kara's Cupcakes. All the fun will be lost on you, unless you take along a pal who will eat your frosting, along with a smidge of the cake part. That being said,... More

We stumbled on this place at the right time while browsing nearby shops. Good selection of cupcakes, and a big thumbs up from our group. Not too heavy, and no overkill on the icing. BIG MISSED OPPORTUNITY: No coffee!

The cupcakes here came as a sugar injection into our bloodstream after a long business day. They were nice and tasty although the place is a bit pricy.

The first time we went here, we had vanilla cupcakes and they were divine! Moist, flavorful, and delicious. We came back a second time and decided to try some different flavors (red velvet, chocolate, lemon, and vanilla again). The vanilla was still great and the chocolate was okay, but the lemon was bland, and the chocolate was dry. We will... More

We were celebrating 4 family birthdays and found Kara's Cupcakes online. The hardest part is choosing which variety...Raspberry! (delish!) Meyer Lemon! Red Velvet! various Chocolate! They also carried tiny cupcakes so you could get a guilt free assortment. They were nicely decorated with cute decorative toppings for Halloween and all the birthday celebrants loved each bite!

Kara's Cupcakes are our go-to cupcakes in the Bay Area. Kara offers regular size and mini cupcakes in delicious flavors. My daughter loves the Gluten Free options which look exactly the same (and imho taste even better) than the regular cupcakes. Kara's cupcakes also offer a gift card which is a super fun present.

Awesome treats after eating pizza next door and walking around Stanford University all day. Our family each picked different flavors for dessert to eat in the car ride to San Fran. The staff were super friendly and accommodation since the little ones kept changing their minds! (Everything looked so good!!!) The key lime is amazing, but the 17yo thought the... More

Of course you can easily make a entire batch of cupcakes for what you will pay for 2 cupcakes at Kara's. But they do have interesting flavors, gluten free offerings, and mini cupcakes, which you are less likely to find at home. They are not huge, but they are rich and come with a sturdy dollop of frosting, so you... More

How can anyone go to the mall without stopping in? I could not. Went every day of my stay. Too few days, too many cupcakes.......Best bet, go first thing in the morning for the best selection.
