En route to view the grounds of Sanford University, we popped into this the Mayfield Bakery & Cafe for lunch. The service was superb and food very tasty albeit extremely expensive.

The place is pretty expensive for lunch. The bread brought out is good. The burger is decent but has nothing on it. There is not much to the cafe. More of a business place to eat in the shopping center.
This bakery has something for everyone ranging from breads, croissants, baked goods and the unbelievably delicious canale. We also love the spinach and cheese bread/croissant. Today we lucked out with a Saturday AM visit and asked about a canale since we didn't see these cuties...More

There are terrific sandwiches here on great breads. They are tasty and delicious. There's a great selection of beverages. The wait staff is very accommodating.
I had there rum raisin bread pudding and it was outstanding. I also had a fried chicken sandwich which was a little to crunchy for me, but the favors were good.
