This restaurant never disappoints. The food is so tasty, the atmosphere lovely, the buzz audible. It's an "in" destination for those who know.

We had a group of four and chose to share several appetizers, entrees, and vegetables. The menu has so many great choices that it is a mistake not to share. I have very high regards for the calamari and each of the three different fish choices we made. I had the primary interest in the shaking beef and it was... More

We recently came back to Tamarine after a few years. The service was great, and the menu is largely the same, but the food was only OK-ish, and somehow it was all less exciting then how we found it in the past. Among the appetizers, we liked the beef wrapped in tea-leaves. The other appetizers are pretty standard (spring roles... More

The Tamarine offers a vietnamese kind of fusion menu. First time at the Tamarine was 2006 and I am very pleased to find that I can still order my favourites. The food is exquisite and the ambience of the restaurant is very relaxing, making it a perfect venue for more or less any occasion. I have been there for both... More

My wife has been wanting to come here since we moved to CA a couple of years ago. I have eaten here for lunch a few times which of course she was not too happy about. All I Medan say is lunch was great, however dinner was fantastic. Dressy which was nice, service attentive, empress rice to die for. We... More

I have eaten here a couple of times and have always been very impressed. The food is delicious ans the staff are attentive without being obtrusive, my personal favourite is the Kobe beef! There's also a great selection of wines.

This is my favorite restaurant in Palo Alto. It's a little pricey but always a wonderful meal. I love that they offer non-alcoholic drinks that are just as pretty and enticing as their gorgeous cocktails. The waitstaff is great -- warm and friendly. When I told our server that the tomato chutney was one of the best things I'd ever... More

We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the meal. There are a wide variety of options on the menu which as a vegetarian I appreciate. The wait staff is knowledgable and helpful. However, our waiter did not mention that one of the appetizers which appeared to be vegetarian actually contained a thin slice of meat. We were afraid... More

Description
Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.
