The art deco decor is attractive. But. The food - especially the breakfasts and hamburgers - are so so at best. Where do they find such thin, unsatisfying eggs? Costco? In a time when really good hamburgers are all over the place this one might have been served at a lunch counter in 1960. And the prices are way too... More

I was here many time during my stay at Stamford. It is a really nice diners type restaurant. For any age. I never took anything else than a hamburger and friends and I was never disappointed.

Peninsula Creamery is everybody's favorite for just good old American food. Had my first BLT on toast and thick strawberry shake at what we then called PenCry back in 1946. Now 69 years later that's still a great menu option for lunch there. Of course now they have added lots of "real food" to their menu, especially at dinner time.... More

We've only had the pies (ordered two for our Thanksgiving celebrations) and man were they good! Sat at the counter and tried the cherry crumble and apple, and decided to go with the apple and pumpkin. Both were delicious and a big hit - plus they come in a glass pie plate so you can even pass them off as... More

We stayed at the Epiphany Hotel across the street and we ate breakfast here twice during our 4 day stay. It was very convenient to the hotel and the breakfasts were good. We walked by several times during the dinner hour and it was full every time, every day. We took that as a good sign. American food and the... More

Large portions of bland food. Good for families. It is a little pricey for what you get. Mediocre breakfast, but the banana cream pie is the best!

We ate initially as a family group of five but then returned later in the week as a couple. We enjoyed the American Diner atmosphere and decor. The food was also good diner style selection. There is a bakery which produces fruit pies which look very good (but the main was too satisfying to allow me room to try a... More

It is an american restaurant, with all the common options, but tasting very well. Breakfast, burgers, milk shakes, an option of wine and beers, the place is busy, not romantic, good for a fast dinner.

This has the look and feel of a NY diner. The service was excellent and the food delicious. It's a special treat and surprised the local Bay Area folks who are so health conscious eat here, but the food is great. I had the hash brown baked pie with two eggs! Yes two eggs! Delicious. Highly recommended but be prepared... More

Everything looks delicious, but we just come here for the creamery part. They have great shakes and great ice cream. Everything is very old fashioned and malt shop looking. My only complaint is that I always order hot fudge and ask them to go heavy on it. This is the only place I have ever been to that charged you... More
