GO!GO!GO! We were here for a family birhtday last night (24/2/17). Okay, if your on a budget, save up before you go, it's pricey, but worth it, if you like superb service, and great food. As many of you know me, International World traveler, Man of Mystery, (chick magnet . . .), uh . . . okay, maybe that last... More

Senior citizen talking to other seniors: There's a lot to like about this place. Comfortable room with well-spaced tables, nice music at a very low level that is not intrusive, big clean restrooms, attentive wait staff. On top of all that, the food is very good, from soup to elegant entrees. The pasta that came with my excellent braised rabbit... More

This is one of two of our "go to restaurants." The food is excellent and the price is moderate. The service is good. They make a really good cosmopolitan. Their chicken dishes are great.

Enjoyed a terrific meal, save for our waiter having to redo main course for one guest three times. This is not a new concept.

While visiting Palo Alto & friends in Redwood City we ate at Pro Bono. The menu had a wonderful selection -- try the risotto or the snapper & the beet or octopus appetizers. Nice wine list, too. Pricey, but good value for the money. Romantic atmosphere..

We had a group dinner for 12 people, from all over the area. We arranged to have a semi-private table area. It was not ideal because it was a long table, so you could only talk with the folks opposite and one or two on either side. At 7 pm on a Thursday night, the restaurant was pretty full and... More

2 couples went for dinner. We all ordered different dishes and everyone enjoyed their dishes. Dishes were moderate to slightly higher priced, service was attentive, atmosphere allowed conversation and space was nicely decorated. We would visit again.

I like Cafe Pro Bono, its on Birch St just off the Busy California Street full of restaurant section of Palo Alto. Prices are moderate, its IMHO, a good value, pretty authentic food and consistent quality

Café Pro Bono is an excellent choice for a lovely dinner. This is a good spot for me for a romantic meal, or a great place to bring family for a get together ( I don't suggest bringing small babies). The room is large but quaint enough to feel very private at your table. The staff is professional, clean and... More
