This restaurant is very popular with locals, it is not fancy or expensive, but the food is worth trying.

Fish n chips dish was ok, but didn't meet my value for money expectations. Service was nice. Atmosphere: nice decoration, but loud, no background music. Few draft beers from California. Prices are not cheap.

Of all of there locations this one is my favorite. Feels like I am eating with family. The staff is wonderful, the food delicious. I love the swordfish! I have been here with friends and for casual business meals (lunch and dinner). Never disappointed always...More

Going here for 10+ years. Never had a bad experience. Food is fresh, and always well prepared. Good for small groups ( 5-8 people.) Also good place to bring out-of-town guests.

Usually I rate consistency of taste to be very important in a restaurant. But in the case of The Fish Market, there's a bit too much consistency, because regardless of what fish I order, it tastes consistently like paprika. Well, I'm exaggerating a little. The...More

I have been coming here for 40 years, and the quality is always top notch. Fish is super fresh. I like the crab Louie Best, but you can’t go wrong with simple snapper. Oh, and the chowder is outstanding. They have a sack lunch special...More

I have been going to this restaurant for years. They have predictably good food. The down side, at least for me, is that they sell fresh fish on a counter at the entrance and the whole place stinks of....well....fish!! It is often noisy and crowded,...More

With a good size group we had opportunity to taste many different things. The main dishes are well prepared and good of size. And very good beers!

Our first restaurant has been a Palo Alto institution since its doors opened in 1976. With the brand new addition of an oyster bar, cocktail bar and lounge area, there are now even more ways to experience this unique restaurant. The expansive retail market remains a popular stop for local residents seeking to take home the finest in fresh fish.
