Thaiphoon has thrived in the Palo Alto restaurant scene for a decade or more. The ambience is charming, the wait staff efficient and friendly, and the food delicious. My wife loves the chicken satay which is accompanied by a peanut sauce. I always get the pan-fried dumplings. The salads are wonderful and the main courses -- such as my preference... More

Unique dishes, delicious lunch/dinner place for colleagues, friends. Nice outdoor patio in front for good-weather lunch or dinner.

Their Salmon Curry has been on the menu for years, but it seems to always get better. Another standby is the Tom Yum Goong or Tom Yum Kai which come in a bubbling Thai pot to share. Even as they have expanded to other South Bay sites and enabled Door Dash deliveries, they have still maintained the service levels and... More

I was on a first date (and last). I recommended we come here so I could get the salmon curry. It was FANTASTIC with a great fusion of flavors. I've never tasted anything like that. The cocktail and wine selection was vast, as there is much to choose from. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The server was a little... More

From the minute you enter the restaurant to when you leave, service is great! The team serve you with a smile and are ready to sort out any choices you may have. They were able to serve us what we wanted and it was delicious! I recommend

This is a small restaurant right in the heart of Palo Alto, CA and a reasonable distance from Stanford University as well as the train station for easy access. My son works at Stanford and regularly brings groups of people to this restaurant because of the convenient location and good food but I joined him recently for a group dinner... More

Not bad Thai food. The staff was slow to seat us and even slower to take our order. We had spring rolls, nothing spectacular but good, nice fresh herbs. Pad Thai that was just OK and some green curry that was pretty good.

We had a Pad Thai and a Tom Yam noodle soup off the main menu. Pad Thai was sugary and glutinous with nothing outstanding other than the lack of chili or spiced herbs. It was more Pad Tired than Pad Thai, The Tom Yam was terrible. It had five wooden completely flavorless shrimp, a bit of shitake, some tofu chunks,... More

My wife and I went for lunch. They have a lunch special and happy hour on wine by the glass during the day. Not a bad deal. Good food. Nice sidewalk café style patio. I would go back again.

Made a reservation, showed up, they did not keep our reservation. They gave a table to a group which arrived after us saying that the group had a reservation. Um...so did we! They didn't have room for us, genuinely could not care less, a sorry was not even mumbled, therefore, we walked away. What a waste of time. Well at... More
