We were looking for a good breakfast place in Pasadena and we were not deceived by Amara chocolate and coffee. The food is great and the coffee excellente. On top a very nice service, no need to look for something else.

Top-notch coffee and chocolate place. The ice cream Churros are the best! Freshly made and baked on-site as is everything else. The Cacao latte is a chocolate & coffee lovers dream. Staff is very friendly. My husband and I have gone twice in our 3 day stay in Pasadena. We will be back next year!!

Had lunch with my family at Amara Coffee and ordered the pabellon arepa and cachapa, and coffee and churros. The Service was excellent and the friendly staff made suggestions which made the meal more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only regret is that the size of the local doesn't allow for much privacy ad the tables are literally... More

After dinner we were craving sweet. So we left the hotel and walk about the Blvd looking for bakery or cafe. Came across this place and walked right by at first. Since the place we plan to go were already closed we came back to this place. Best choices ever. We had the hot chocolate and churro. Hot chocolate were... More

If you want to taste pure molten chocolate rather than "hot cocoa" this place will send you directly to heaven. There are also fine baked goods and fine food--often with a chocolate flavor... But this is Authentic Venezuelan Chocolate!!!

This may be the richest food ever. So many varieties of hot chocolate. Unbelievablely thick and velvety. The churro so were crispy and crunchy. A wide selection of arepas. The chorizo arepa was outstanding. A Venezuelan friend declared this absolutely authentic Venelualan fare. Take out available.

We stopped in for a late afternoon snack of some churros and a cocoa and were very pleasantly surprised. The cocoa was reported as delicious and the churros were deliciously crunchy on the outside, although perhaps slightly gooey in the middle. The sugar and cinnamon dusting was delicious too! Service was prompt. Seating was relatively limited but sufficient. A wider... More

Stopped by Amara this morning for a quick coffee and sweet roll in the midst of running some errands. It proved to be one of the most unusual - and in my opinion one of the best - coffee spots in Pasadena. Parking across the street - Raymond Avenue is a rare oasis in parking - challenged Pasadena - I... More

While visiting Pasadena this month we went for a morning walk to look at the downtown architecture. Along the way, we saw Amara and stopped in. The owner immediately greeted us and told us about her shop. I sampled the still warm churros (drizzled with dulce de leech) and asked her what the for most popular drink served. It is... More

Went to get a coffee and churros and eneded up having a Cachapa filled with fresh white cheese.....mmmmmmm amazing, so glad I had that but I need to comeback for the churros. By the time I was leaving it was getting very busy so on weekends try to be there early for breakfast, you won't regret it!.
