Tasty American food. Nice interior. Attentive service! I've been coming here for decades and their food has always been consistently tasty! Megan, our server was EXCELLENT! She knew exactly what we needed before we asked! My friend and I ordered the Diane Salad, their signature...restaurant salad, and she recommended to order the LARGE, so we could take home any leftovers. She also suggested to have the dressing on the side. She brought over TAKE OUT containers for our extra salad that we probably couldn't finish before our salads arrived. She suggested to put in the salad ( dry) into the plastic TO GO containers first, then put the salad dressing on the rest of the salad in the bowl and enjoy eating at our table. Brilliant suggestion! Thank you Megan! We also shared the apple goat cheese flatbread as our first course! It was tasty! The rest of the staff were VERY ATTENTIVE with smiles! We were greeted immediately by three different servers and when we left, everyone said, "Thank you! Please come again!" We left smilingMore

As others have noted, great food selection and always consistently outstanding. This time I had one of their specials (creamy mushroom pasta with spinach in a white sauce) and it was among the best pasta we’ve had in years.

When it comes to a really great restaurant, my philosophy is consistency is everything. Green Street holds that bar high. Each time you visit you can count on...and look forward to....a delicious meal AND great service. Their menu is creative and fun; service is fast...and professional. There is a reason why this little gem of a place is always crowded. A sure sign that good things are happening here!More

I've been a Green Street customer for decades. I have fond memories of going almost every morning before work when the restaurant was located on Green Street. During the COVID lockdown, my husband and I would order takeout if we wanted a special meal. (Of...course we always order a loaf of the famous zucchini bread. ) Last night I met a friend for dinner and not only was the food delicious as usual but I was reminded of the friendly and professional service. Our server was an awesome guy and was very attentive and engaging. I had the Veggie Ginger Bowl with shrimp and my friend had the famous Diane's salad. As always, we had enough food for leftovers. It was my birthday and I was delighted to have two scoops of ice cream with caramel sauce and a candle on top. My husband asked me to bring home a Southwestern sandwich and a loaf of zucchini bread. Food.... service,.....and I can't forget ......the setting. Now located (for years) behind The Commons complex, the restaurant with patio in front gives the diner the choice of inside or outside dining. My friend and I chose to sit outside and our server lit the heater for us as it started to get a little chilly. The inside is very pleasant as well and last night the bar was featuring the Dodger game on the two tv screens. Fortunately I could see the tv screens from where I was sitting and I could keep track of the game while dining. This restaurant has everything!! Go there soon, you won't be disappointed!More

I ordered Chicken Parmesan with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was all wonderful - especially the vegetables. Great flavor. Tender chicken. My husband loved his shrimp pasta too. The bread they served with the dinner seemed to be a kind of zucchini bread. So...good I took it home for breakfast. Very friendly server and good service. Parking in a nearby ramp was easy. Very glad we went there.More

I try to get to Green Street whenever I’m in Pasadena. I’ve been going there for decades, and it never disappoints. I love their outdoor dining, and their fare and service are first rate. A unique experience in a unique setting.

A great local favorite restaurant for breakfast and/or lunch. Today, I had lunch with my son. He had a chipotle chicken salad and I had a beet salad with goat cheese in a field of greens. Together we shared kettle chips with shredded cheese and...dipping sauces. Zucchini bread, here, is to die for with/without butter. The corn chowder soup was thick and hearty. What a great lunch, we both had! Seating was outside in the patio. This place follows the local health department guidelines, which we both appreciated, as health care workers.More

This restaurant deserves a 5 star rating. Their famous Dianne salad is one of my favorite salads. The dressing is so tasty. Unlike other ORIENTAL chicken salad, this one is not boring at all. With its citrus salad dressing mixed with big chuck of chicken...and chopped almonds, the resulting salad is a masterpiece dish. Besides the salad, I would say the tacos are the must order dishes. We went today for lunch and had their fish taco. It was good and filling. With snapper as the key ingredient, the restaurant created one of the best tacos I have ever had. This is like one of those tacos I had when I visited a taco shop in Los Cabos in Mexico. I heard their burgers are very good too. Will try that next time. Right now, the restaurant offers outdoor dining. They take COVID-19 safety measures seriously. All the staff wear masks and face shields. I felt safe dining here. Parking is in a garage next door. Unlike other parking garages in old town Pasadena, you have to pay in this one. But you can find free street parkings on Lake Avenue.More

We called in for lunch on a reasonably busy Saturday, but tables were available inside and outside on the patio – we chose the latter, because the inside seemed a bit noisy. Both the breakfast and lunch menus cater to a wide range of tastes,...but we couldn't go past a couple of the enticing salads, and both were delicious (and generous...). The zucchini bread was also a winner! The wines are mainly of US origin and reasonable quality; disappointingly, two of our selections had run out. The service was very friendly and efficient, and we thought our meal was good value overall.More

Our lunch at Green Street made us want to return for breakfast and dinner another time. The extensive menu held lots of promise! The restaurant is known for its large, fresh and creative salads... and we heartily agree. Even the "house" salad, which I'd imagined...would be pretty simple, featured ingredients like fresh beets and robust greens. Our tomato bisque was among the best we've ever had, rich, creamy and chunked with tomatoes. Our corned beef sandwich was "OK." Its rosemary bread was delicious, and it had nice fresh greens on it, but the corned beef was on the skimpy side and was served cold (we weren't asked). Our roast beef sandwich was very good. Strawberry lemonade was crisp and refreshing, not too sweet. There's great portion control at Green Street. At lunch, for example, the menu offers full sandwiches, served with sides... or "halfers," which come with soup or salad. Or "deluxe halfers" with both soup and salad. Our server said there's lots of flexibility. Service was excellent. Very attentive, including detailed descriptions of ingredients and options. The atmosphere at lunch was bright and airy, including the muzak track featuring Hollywood oldies like "Signing in the Rain." Our server told us it's more sultry and dim at dinnertime. The restaurant is a bit hard to find for first-timers. Despite its name, it's not located on Pasadena's Green Street. Its address is on "Shopper's Lane," an alley parallel to South Lake Street, well hidden behind the main Lake Street commercial businesses. But it's a nice, quiet location, nestled with a cluster of small shops and eateries, and a few steps from very ample municipal parking (free for 90 minutes).More
