My first time here, and Alley Cafe is one of life's pleasant surprises: my complicated custom omelette arrived, fast, hot, fresh, bigger than those at all my other fave breakfast spots, loaded with the perfect balance of my requested ingredients, cooked lightly and evenly, with VERY fresh fruit on the side -- thank you, cook Maria! All delivered with a... More

I really like this place for breakfast. I don't live very close, but whenever I'm in the area I try to stop in. The service is a little slow, but the place is always busy and the food is great.

The food at Alley Cafe is great, but they usually only have one server on duty so the wait time can be very long. If you don't mind waiting, it's a good breakfast place.

First of all, the Alley Cafe now accepts credit cards. Next, it is an old-fashioned counter-and-booth joint where you can watch the cook make everything from scratch. Third, it is hidden behind a smallish door in a building right next to the Pinole City Hall; there is a planter of flowers in the front. Fourth, my two breakfasts were quite... More

We staid at Pinole cause we planned visit SF however we found this place to breakfast near from the hotel and it was so great! The perfect balance between flavor and price including an America traditional place. Regards from Mexico!

its more quantity than quality. I have seen them take an order from someone that just walked in (a regular in the rest) before taking an order of someone that had been waiting. Food is just so so and they give you way too much.

The food is great here. I love the hash browns. You get a big plate and half the plate is full of hash browns the other half your omelet or whatever else you ordered. The service is pretty slow but I like the food enough to wait. You will not leave this place hungry unless you want to.

Huge, wonderful breakfasts. Long wait on weekends, but weekdays are fine. Worth the wait, if weekends are all you can manage.
