We drove from South Lake Tahoe and our friends drove from San Ramon, CA and we selected Buttercup Panty as our meeting point. Great decision. We sat outdoors for lunch and enjoyed 3 excellent breakfast and 1 huge hamburger meal. The menu was large and had many choices. The waitress had a huge smile and watched our table to make sure that we had our drinks refilled and checked on us often. She provided good service to everyone seating outdoors. My breakfast included pancakes and they were very good. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger and was happy with the taste. The plate included french fries and even had a scope of potato salad. There was a section where you could pick up a pie and cookies to go. Parking was a bit tight but people are constantly coming and going so a spot was available.

This place is ridiculously great!!!! It's a charming little place right on the historical downtown street of Placerville. It is ABSOLUTELY a must try!!!! The menu is extensive - you can get almost anything you can possibly want for breakfast. The portions are large and the food is very tasty. We had the crab cake eggs benedict and it was served with a ton of hollandaise sauce and two thick chunky crab cakes. Yummy!!

Came on a Sunday brunch and it was pretty packed but wait time was less than 5 minutes. Service was prompt and server was very amicable. Food quality was to be expected, nothing fancy but filling and good for the price. Soup was hot, sandwiches made correctly on a modified order.

What a cute restaurant! Love the eclectic decor and the great service. The soups are delicious and the salad is really tasty. Hot fresh bread is a nice touch and our dinners were scrumptious. We enjoyed the smaller senior portions which were perfectly sized.

This would be a regular place for me if I lived in Placerville. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the decor very inviting. Reminds me of home. Best of all, the food is wonderful. My wife loved her Albacore Tuna and Avacado Sandwich. I enjoyed my Avacado turkey melt. Now that I'm trying to slim down, since they use white bread and it's thick sliced, I took off the top bread slice and ate it as an open faced sandwich. It was very tasty.

Very disappointed! Took my granddaughters for lunch. They usually like it due to the many menu choices. All 3 of our meals were horrible. My oldest granddaughter (17) got a grilled chicken sandwich..she couldn’t even bite through the meat it was so tough and overcooked. Youngest granddaughter ordered the mini dogs from the children’s menu..she ate 2 and said they tasted funny. Two of them were way over cooked. I ordered the grilled cheese which looked like it was cooked yesterday. We hardly ate a thing. I mentioned to the waitress that we were disappointed but she just walked away, then brought the bill a fee minutes later. Never addressed the issue

Stopped for early lunch on our way to Tahoe/Reno. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Seating is mostly in booths though some tables and standard seating are available. Food is fine but not outstanding. French Dip would be better with an improved roll. Waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Two areas for improvement related to helping handicapped customers: (1) the parking lot is extremely tight; even the one handicapped space I saw was tight on one side and filled No immediate street parking by the restaurant. We had to park by the county building a half block away and walk down a couple of stairs to get to entrance. Fortunately, no wheelchair in our group. (2) When we arrived, we were told it would be about ten minutes which was fine by us. However, while waiting to be seated, another party of two arrived and were seated immediately- I can only assume the reason was my wife had a cane. They clearly did not have a reservation. Perhaps, more accessible seating is needed.

So I’m only reviewing this place off of my one & only time going here. My friend & I were seated in one of those half-booths where another couple sat on the other side of the small partition, even though there were very few people there. We had a young waitress that looked like she would rather have been elsewhere. She took our order promptly and brought our food quickly too.

We got seated quickly, but then after service was not too good. We had to ask for drink refills, and had to go to the cashier to get our bill.

This place is just a treasure. The food and service are amazing. I had a simple omelet, my partner had biscuits and gravy. Both were outstanding. Everything is made in-house. The biscuits are just over the top. Service was really good. We were seated just before a very large party. They pushed our food out first so we would not have to wait (we were not in a hurry, but that was a nice thing to do). We don't get to Placerville very often, but might be worth doing some exploring. If we do, we'll definitely be stopping here again.
