The pies look tempting, but are not that tasty. The lemon meringue was short on lemon and and the crust was pre-fab from a distant location. Not recommended.

Not just big - but tasty, too! I had biscuits and gravy with an egg on top. My husband went healthy and has eggs with sausage and avocado - instead of potatoes. They are very willing to please!

This was the first time trying this restaurant. We were a party of four and were looking for a light breakfast. This restaurant has a great small portion/ senior menu. We all ordered from this menu and were totally satisfied with the size and quality of the serving. The Eggs Benidict was great.

In need of a meal for the long drive leaving Tahoe and this place was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Really had a family-owned feel which we love! Food was good, great variety. Service was refreshingly pleasant and fast. Met and exceeded expectations.

I've been to this establishment a few times, so this review does not reflect just one visit. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were seated quickly. The menu selection is very good and they also have a soup and salad bar. The parking lot is small and can be a challenge for larger vehicles. As I mentioned before the... More

I was visiting Sacramento and took my aunt and sister back to a place they went to on a regular basis. Food is not fancy but good comfort food. Salad bar is average with limited options. Good pies for dessert or to take away. A downside was the bathroom was not very clean. However, still recommend if you want a... More

We really enjoy this restaurant. It's full of old time memorabilia mostly from the 40's and 50's. A lot of it is from the local area. The staff is friendly and the food is generous in servings and very tasty. Best of all they have their own bakery and when you walk in there is a display case full of... More

It's a cute building and has a charming interior. The three-egg omelet was good, the hashed browns OK, and the marbled rye hot buttered toast delicious. The herbal tea was weak. The only mistake was ordering the chocolate-coconut cream pie. HUGE piece, too sweet, better to get a reasonable portion and only the coconut part. Wish I'd ordered the blackberry... More

Good food, good atmosphere, good people, bad coffee. I never understand how a restaurant that has so much going for it continues to serve sub par coffee. If you eat here enjoy a good meal in pleasant surroundings but order something other than coffee to drink
