Well, I must admit that for years I thought Rubio's was a bar, or maybe a bar and grill. What a surprise to find out it is a Mexican seafood chain! And just when one of my current passions has been seafood tacos. Rubio's is one of the late generation chain restaurants: freshly and sustainably sourced seafood, cooked to order.... More

Regular menu of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, et al. They do serve beer, I'll give them that! Taste and quality is average.

We like to sit on the enclosed outside patio with our dog. First we enjoy a nice cold glass of their Chardonnay and then we have either the original fish taco or the grilled Mahi-mahi taco. We also like the grilled salmon. We ask for black beans and rice and share a side order of chips. They have a wonderful... More

Rubio’s is pretty good most places. This one is close to home so we keep going back hoping our local Rubios will get better. But it doesn't. I can't remember when they have ever gotten an order right! It's especially annoying when you order take out!

Food quality is good for a fast fare restaurant. I tried the salad which came in a large bowl with great greens - not an iceberg lettuce imitation!

I was so happy when they built a Rubios here. One of the things I miss about So. Cal is Rubios and Wahoos tacos. Their food is fresh and cooked perfectly. Their fish tacos are the bomb! My personal favorites.

Rubios is a surprise! I love seafood. The menu is overwhelming with all kinds of seafood in a Mexican style such as shrimp burritos, battered cod tacos or langostino stuffed burritos that are so delicious you can't believe it and nice people to take your order. Even the soda tastes great.

I eat here often, usually the original fish tacos. These are street tacos, well seasoned and tasty. They also have seafood burritos, well spiced and good. Their Mexican fare is not overly sauced, is seasoned nicely and the service is fast.

Rubio's in Pleasant Hill, CA is probably the best Rubio/s I have been to so far and I eat there often. The traditional fish tacos are exactly what they should be - fresh, sweet and vaguely crunchy with no raw batter under the crunch. And, if you ask nicely, they will give you flour tortillas if you prefer. But -... More

The first restaurant was opened in 1983 in San Diego by Ralph Rubio and his father, Ray, who started the fish taco phenomenon that spread across the nation. Today, Rubio’s menu has grown from The Original Fish Taco® to include additional chef-crafted seafood recipes that feature shrimp, wild salmon and ono. In addition to sustainable seafood, Rubio’s offers chargrilled chicken and steak, fresh made guacamole and salsas and sauces that are prepared daily.
