Excellent cheeses and other local products. Elizabeth from Marin Farm and food tour took us here as part of her great tour of West Marin

We signed up well in advance for the Cheese Tour, which had nothing to do with touring. We were seated at a picnic table at one end of the deli next to windows of the actual cheese facility. The talk turned out to be more interesting than expected, because the cheese lady demonstrated how good milk (emphasized) turns into soft,... More

This is a combination cheese shop/deli. The sandwiches are made to order. Their signature sandwiches all include one of their cheeses. This is counter service and best as a place to pick up some provisions to take to the Pt Reyes Seashore.

Small, clean shop - industrial design with rustic cowgirl touches. We stopped for lunch on our way to the beach. Managed to find one of the few tables open so we dined on-site, but it would be the perfect stop to purchase a simple but elegant picnic lunch. Prices are a bit high, but the food is worth it. I... I love cowgirl cheese, especially Red Hawk. So we drove an hour to get there. The ladies couldn't be bothered with customers, and mostly gave you their backs. Unfriendly, unhelpful. With so many creameries in the area, they let fame ruin them. If you have to eat cowgirl, get it from Whole Foods.

Not really a restaurant, but a fine place to taste and buy excellent cheese. This would also be a very good place to get snacks to put into a backpack for walking in Point Reyes National Seashore. Servers were very friendly and very competent.

Be prepared for long lines at the order counter, no bathroom, and limited outside seating at picnic tables. However, the sandwich, salami and fresh mozzarella, was excellent as was the Earl Grey panna cotta. After lunch we hit the cheese counter where staff was friendly and helpful. Cheese was pricey but good. Kids loved the ice cream.

While I'm a fan of Cowgirl cheese, the creamery isn't really a destination. There is no bathroom, it's closed Monday and Tuesday, and honestly there's just not much to see. Grab some cheese at the market (same cheese - better price) and go to the beach.

I love Cowgirl Cheese, but the food is just ok and there is no bathroom for customers. I had the salmon bites and the toast was burned black. I did buy some great cheese, though!

Greeting warmly upon entering and told about their cheeses and meats and other products. I grew up in Wisconsin and am somewhat of a cheese connoisseur and this place pushed all the right buttons for me. We tasted some amazingly wonderful pungent cheeses and hard salami. They have the gamut when it comes to cheeses and I suspect have something... More
