This place offers one of the best fresh Sushi in San Diego. Clean, friendly, reasonably priced and above all excellent food.

We honestly went her for the first time because our sons name is Kai! But it didn't disappoint and we have been back several times! Or favorite is the edamame with garlic and soy sauce!!! Nice service and pleasant atmosphere.

When we sat down to eat at Kai Sushi, I wondered how it was that this restaurant was virtually empty when another Sushi restaurant was packed with a long waiting list. It seemed good to start ( a bit of a sticky table top) and...More

Used to be my go to Sushi place. Not anymore. Service is slow, unprofessional and when you need something there is never a server in site. Turn over is crazy, wait staff usually only lasts about three months.

Quick service at the sushi bar. Ordered a variety of specialty rolls, the standouts are the unagi and salmon skin sushi. The staff was very accommodating for a vegetarian in our group. I wish they had a branch in the San Francisco Bay Area! Thanks...More

I come to Kai a lot when in town and over the last few months had seen a deterioration in cleanliness and quality of wait staff. I went twice this week for dinner and have been impressed by Kai once again. Huge turnaround in this...More

Firstly, the sushi, or sashimi, was "okay". The eel was delicate (and delicious), however the RAW, raw sushi had elements of "rubbery" texture. Dry. The baked rolls (scallop) had a delicious sauce - super delectable. Hats off for that recipe. The scallops themselves were tiny....More

We eat Sushi at least twice a week. This is by far, the best Sushi in Poway and in fact, it's the best Sushi in San Diego County. Always fresh...always delicious. Try the "Hug" roll which is made without rice. The Hamachi or Salmon Kama...More
