Good welcome, and the maitre d' and our waiter were excellent. The servers, however, did not have fine dining serving skills, frequently reaching across us to serve another, or to place fresh silverware. Now the food... oysters and oysters Rockefeller excellent, sea bass, lamb shanks...More

As noted in a previous review, this historically has been one of the best and most famous restaurants in southern California. On our last visit we found the food still excellent, and service outstanding, but a peculiar thing happened: when we ordered the souffle (a...More

A very historic place with good food. They advertise an early bird dinner on the marquee at the entrance that says the meal starts at $10. That is true...one dish is $10 and is, of course, chicken. The rest even a pasta is at least...More

I"d say business casual. If you're eating on the porch, casual attire is more appropriate.
