I never get disappointed when going to Franklin St Cafe. Servings are huge and delicious at a fair price. The staff is friendly. Usually it doesn't take them too long to get your food ready, so it's a nice place to eat while you wait for your Caltrain (or anytime really). (Once my takeout order took a while longer than... I ate breakfast here each morning during my stay. The breakfast was prepared quickly. I had omelets, pancakes, eggs with hash browns. They were already open when I arrived there at 7 a.m. each of the three days, and the staff was cheerful and efficient. It's good food.

We had 6 people...Sat outside, it was easier for conversation. The facility is small, located in a shopping center right next to Cal-Train. You order at the main counter, and the menu was nice. We had six different dishes, and everyone was pleased. The service was average. Good food... Good company.... But poor surroundings.

We have been coming here for over 15 years and it is still a winner. Had a wonderful brunch here with my husband. Very friendly service and hearty portions. Clientele also very friendly. Just a cool neighborhood place!

I was on CalTrain nearing my stop and I was hoping to grab a cup of coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw "Franklin Cafe". I got a double latte - delicious and I was able to get a something with meat (yay!). My cheeseburger not only came with French fries but with a side salad as well. Score... More

Short girl who works as a server has a really bad attitude. On 9/9/2015 I was met at the counter by a very belligerent little server. Looks down her nose at the customer and with a very smart mouth and rolling the eyes she tells the customer there manager is to busy to talk to customers. Your kidding, right? Then... More

The way it works here you line up and order from a counter and then someone delivers the meal to you. The food is generally okay and pleasant but nothing special. Sometimes they get it wrong, like a poached egg is more like a hardboiled egg, if you bring it to ther attention they make the change. The potatoes they... More

I agree with the others--great place for a pre-farmer's market breakfast! The sandwiches and salads are wonderful--ripe delicious tomatoes, good quality breads and sandwich rolls and the fries have a good crisp to them. We also get take-out here, which is handled efficiently. My only criticism is that the "cheesy bread"seems a misnomer. I expected gooey, melted cheese and instead... More

While awaiting work on our car one morning, we walked the area looking for a place to have breakfast. Came to Sequoia Center in Redwood City, and Franklin Street Café, in that Center. The rather traditional bacon, eggs, pan-fried potatoes, English muffin and coffee were quite nice, except for the potatoes, which were greasy. The place is pleasant, quiet and... More

While visiting Redwood City, I stumbled across this cafe since I was staying at a hotel across the street. I love their breakfast!
