We ate at the Black Bear Diner twice. Husband had Mediterranean dinner salad day one, and chicken pot pie day two. I had roast turkey (melt in your mouth tender) with mashed potatoes and gravy and fresh fruit. First night, I had eggs, bacon, fruit, and English muffin. Altogether a great place to eat. The desserts looked fabulous, but we... More

it is across from the hotel we stayed at, so convenience was good. The food was mediocre at best. I would say on par for a Dennys type resturant.

I really like this restaurant, it is the kind of place where it would be easy to become a regular. It was quite busy when I arrived (lots of families), but the servers and the staff were first rate. They were not rattled, they were attentive, and very kind. My server, in particular, was quite courteous. I also appreciated the... More

I had the 2 Eggs + Sirloin Steak breakfast. I substituted fresh fruit for the potatoes. Unfortunately there was no option to substitute a fibrous carb like broccoli or spinach for the bread (biscuit or pancake. No nutritional information such as grams of protein, carbs, fiber, sugar or fats was available. I had to guess whether I was meeting my... More

Had a hearty breakfast here while on a shopping trip to the Sacramento area. Good food, reasonably priced. Fresh OJ!

Very fresh and wonderful. Loved the service and food. Eggs cooked perfect, fresh orange juice. Great way to start any day. I will come back.

All of our food came to the table cold. People that were seated after after us where half way done when we're served our cold food. Had to go up to ask for coffee refills. No offer to a just the bill for poor service and COLD.

When the waitstaff are running, not once but continuously for an hour, to keep food delivered and orders- something is wrong. This was not one individual, it was the entire team. Management needs to get additional staff on the floor and in the kitchen. The wait to get food was unacceptable, not just for my order, but people around me.... More

Went there twice because we were staying at the hotel across the street for the whole weekend. The second morning, the waitress already knew our habits and tried her best to accommodate to our liking. Plus the food is the best home cooking type for a long day of work.
