Quick stop for ribs and a drink, was all good. Nothing fancy but well cooked and marinated meat and fresh salad.

Sam's has been around for years. A causal neighborhood place to go for barbecued ribs. Also sandwiches, hamburgers, good selection of side dishes. I had the beef sandwich with side of potato salad. There was a generous amount of sliced beef. My wife had a two meat barbecue platter with a side a thick cut potato fries and macaroni salad.... More

We were temporarily tired of our current places and wanted a quick barbecue dinner so went to Sam's BBQ on Bascom Avenue. I had the chicken dinner and my wife had the ribs both were fine what we wanted for dinner that night. Prices were moderate and service was fairly quick we had a nice meal. Definitely not fine dining... More

Sam's BBQ is a cozy place, where I like to go when I am REALLY hungry. It seems pricey, but you get HUGE portions! I sit on the enclosed patio whether or not there is a musical guest -- but that is certainly more fun if you like bluegrass (or just talented musicians in general). Go with casual friends and... We had dinner on Friday night around 7:00 PM. There was a line out the door, and for good reason- the food is delicious. The ribs were smoky, tender, and fell off the bone. The smoked chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. I asked for a baked potato instead of fries and they happily obliged without any upcharge. Overall, portions... More

This place gets busy so get there early for parking. The outdoor covered area has room to accommodate larger parties. The onion rings were good! When you bit into them, the onion didn't slip out.

My family and I love this place. A typical "hole-in-the-wall" kinda restaurant with amazing dishes. We came here on a regular basis, when we lived in CA, because it was just that good. The ribs are by far my favorite. I usually go for fries and garlic bread as the two sides. But let's talk about the ribs. It is... More

Very tasty BBQ joint. Ribs are meaty and fall off the bone. I've also had the pulled pork and it was delicious. Sauce is boss here, so lay it on thick. Not overly sweet or smoky, but flavorful. Prices are average to slightly above average. Half slab is about $18 and full slab about $25. Portions are large, so split... More

Some of the best BBQ I've had since visiting Texas. Good prices and the food was perfect. The ribs are meaty and fall off the bones. The beef sandwich was so tender and full of flavor. A must go if you love BBQ.

Been around a while, been there three times, usually with a small group. Has two eating areas, one has live music (C&W, Bluegrass). The inside area is quite, and has a train running around the top of the walls. Good variety of BBQ meats, tasty. Order at counter, and delivered to your table. The counter usually has a line as...
