We stopped on our Trip from San Fran. to L.A. in SLO and had a wonderful Diner. Despite the fact we arrived in the restaurant after 9.00 pm (kitchen closes 09.30) we had a very warm reception and got a nice table. Diner did start...More

Frankly, I do love carbs. So when you bring me a lemon raspberry martini, fresh bread, and garlic and parmesan olive oil spread - who needs to order food?? But order I must - and who can decide?? Everything in this restaurant is delicious, fresh,...More

I was in the area for several weeks and ate here on the average of four times a week for both lunch and dinner. They use top notch ingredients such as San Marzano tomatoes that truly elevate their food to another level. I was fortunate...More

The owners of Giuseppe's have done a fabulous job of renovating the old Sinsheimer Building on Monterey St. We walked by and were immediately drawn in, but it was crowded and we decided to return early the next day for dinner. And you should arrive...More

I was excited to try their new location! Went, sat in the 'waiting chairs'inside...they have a screen as their doorway...while I sat I smelled something I associated with pesticides...their employee said it was exhaust from the cars on the street. It was overwheelming. I got a...More

Had dinner there with my daughter and was pleasantly pleased. The Carbonara and the Vongole was excellent (although the latter was bit on the salty side). I loved the texture of the pasta which was done perfectly and delightfully springy. We enjoyed dining in the...More

I ordered the lasagna for takeout and found it worthy of four stars. In truth it was a little overcooked (mushy). The reason I'm only giving three stars is that they charged me extra when I requested bread - something they give away when you...More

We ate a late lunch around 2 pm and it was quite busy. The restaurant is in an old building with high ceilings and is quaint with out being presumptuous. Service was quick and helpful with recommendations. Portions are large. Food/pasta is hand made and...More

We checked out this restaurant since the one in Pismo is not open. The wait staff is bar none the friendliest around. The food is good and the wait minimal. We never had an empty bread basket or water glass.... they were just on it!...More

Description
Welcome to Palazzo Giuseppe’s, downtown San Luis Obispo! Our Italian regional specialties are indicative to the Pugliese region in Italy, particularly Bari, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea from which most of our recipes originate. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate our great loyalty to the distinctive dishes, all of which we prepare with genuine and natural ingredients and methods. Our bread is baked from scratch every day in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy. Each loaf is made by hand, allowed to rise four times and slow-cooked to achieve the truly rustic appearance and taste you would find in a Baresi seaside village. DiFronzo is dedicated to producing & growing as many heirloom, organic vegetables, & fruits from his family farm as possible. Gelato, pizzas, & specialties including his estate grown Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, & Syrah. All of this takes time but to us it is an art and a labor of love. We are truly committed to bringing you "cucina genuina."
