The food was wonderful. The service was timely and friendly. I really came for the biscuits and they didn't disappoint. It didn't hurt that this restaurant was right next door to the Rose Garden Inn.

Some complain that American restaurants serve too much food. I agree but you have never seen a place like this. I wanted to take photos of the omelets at the next table. I had a platter (they don't use plates) of meat loaf and a mountain of mashed potatoes and gravy. Two of us split it and we still only... More

We stopped for lunch on the way back from Hearst Castle. The food was good, portions are huge however. The three of us split the sliders and fries, added a chocolate shake. Everything tasted fresh, there were strawberries and oranges as garnish, we even ate those. Would definitely go back if we lived in the area, just visiting from Dallas.

Was in town for business and staying at the courtyard Marriott. Decided to here for dinner one night and got the Chili Burger. The plate was full and the Chili for the burger was definitely not in shortage. I manages to put it all down but I sure was full. I got the onion rings for my side with the... More

Portions just as huge as last time. Fries for days. Super tasty, lord knows what they fry things in but its delicious. The milkshake (while expensive) is amazing. Almost pure ice cream. The staff here clearly work super hard to keep up and do it with a smile on their face. The decor hasn't changed in years and maybe it... More

When I first entered I believed it would be like any diner.. Then I ordered the Rib-eye and after the first bite, the WoW factor kicked in!! I couldn't believe how good everything tasted. The portions are no joke either! I'd definitely come here over and over each time I pass through SLO. I highly recommend it as well!!

I can honestly say that this does not happen often to be pleasantly surprised with a restaurant but we were. Small fifties style diner with great burgers! Rather pricey for a cheese burger and fries, $13.95, but it was very good and plenty to eat. Spouse and I split one and we were glad we did. More than enough food... More
