We visit San Mateo and stay at our middle daughter's house every 3 months or so. With a large family and many eaters, we order take outs from Everyday Beijing and occasionally dine in. They have an extensive menu. Their printed menu may not be up to date but their on line menu is. The kids consider Jing Dong Pork... More

My husband who never eats fish out LOVES these! Don't forget the vinegar sauce. They are divine! We also get their veggie chow mein and it's so good. Dine in or take out it all feels very authentic.

The place was very busy on Sunday at lunch. We had to wait a good 20 min to get in. The staff can barely clear the table. The entry door was ajar-ed which is okay because the air was a little stuffy inside. The tofu soup is pretty good. I didn't care for the beef pancake. The green onion pan... More

We are regulars at this place, and it just occurred to me today that perhaps I ought to share our wonderful experience. The place is not much to look at. The table for four is on the small side, since it's either that or we eat too much - the table does not offer enough space for all the dishes... More

I can tell all the food is so great because I see people at the tables enjoying the food, and I don't hear a lot of talking. Being vegetarian, I am delightfully surprised to find the vegetarian dishes here full of flavor, and offered in great variety. My favorite--vegetable dumplings!

I'll start by saying that I am no expert on Chinese food. I have never been to China. I have eaten a LOT of Chinese food here in the States, and all over. Some is good, some not so good, but I cannot judge what is "authentic," nor, frankly do I care all that much. If it tastes really good,... More

This restaurant is at the corner of San Mateo downtown. They serve good Chinese food; cooking after order not reheating after order. You can tell it from the sweet and sour shrimp, pot sticker and other dishes. I like their fish and chives dumpling and my husband likes their pot sticker. Our usual order also includes war wanton soup. It... More

If you are looking for something a little different, try Everyday Beijing. The restaurant specializes in Beijing-style cuisine, which favors flour and noodle ingredients (as opposed to rice dishes.) If you are looking for chinese restaurant staples like sweet and sour pork, General Tso's chicken, you will not find them here. Chinese cuisine is very regional, and this place really... More

Good xiaolongbao and lamb kebabs. Don't order stuff for American tastes (i.e sweet and sour pork). They just don't do it right.

Very good noodle house. They make their own noodles fresh daily. It's a hole in-the-wall place so don't expect too much in the decor but the food quality is top notch. Try their Szechuan Pork Rib Spicy beef noodle. Price is typical and portion size is usually good.
