my second time here, brought a Spanish speaking date and got better treatment this time. Waiter seemed disappointed that I didn't leave a bigger tip, not all Americans are wealthy. was impressed by the food.

Lovely family restaurant with gigantic menu full of everyone's Mexican favorites, plus a number of Sinaloa (seafood) specialties. They are famous for the ceviche and there is almost an entire page to choose from. The restaurant is set up family style, with long tables in...More

Can be very crowded but well worth the wait. Service can be spotty when busy or not busy. Just the nature of the place.

Expensive, slow and food was nothing special. On a Monday during lunch time, they had one guy as waiter, barman and cashier for the whole restaurant, with only two busboys. That made service incredibly slow. It's also overpriced: a cup of guacamole was $7.95. The...More

Went for early cinco de mayo dinner and margaritas. Full bar and beer/wine. Great service, despite the crazy business of the evening. Has grilled fish filet with green sauce and cheese, with rice and veggies and tortillas. Husband had Mariscada Piaxtla, which is prawns cooked...More

I'd like to go this place for its quality of food. I selected Fajias. The restaurant (decor), space and asmosphere are quite casual but I do not expect much for casual lunch and quick meal. The price is a bit high.

This might be the best restaurant in San Mateo: consistently great food, friendly service, and fun atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A full menu featuring a lot of genuine Mexican dishes, and in particular a range of seafood dishes. Food portions are ample, service is very good, ambience is decent. A good place for neighborhood food, groups, etc.

It's a family restaurant and great Mexican food. You can taste the freshness. Just taste the guacamole... Most people are heavy on the salt for flavor, they didn't, it was fresh and just smooth. Great stuff. And they have lots of things I haven't seen...More
