Went for lunch, seated quickly on water, lovely views if you can sit outside. Service was lackluster. Sat near outdoor server station and the buckets of used dishes and food wastes were overflowing to point of spilling over and servers just shoved more into them...More

Reviews seem as bit mixed but we came for a relaxed waterside atmosphere and were very pleasantly surprised by the extra nice ambiance and decor. Our service and food turned out to be great! We sipped a quite decent inexpensive house chardonnay with our yummy...More

I stopped in because I wanted seafood and this seemed like it would be a good choice since they also sell fresh fish. I was greeted by two friendly staff and seated immediately. I ordered the seafood marinara pasta. The portion was large but the...More

On the water location in Foster City/San Mateo is most pleasant. Usually crowded and busy, thus noisey (downstairs). Upstairs (Top of the Market) is white table cloth, more refined, and a pleasant environment. Food is reasonable in quality, quantity and price. Always dependable, but rarely...More

I’d been looking forward to going back to The Fish Market since my last visit a few years ago. The wedge salad was good, but the grilled halibut was a major letdown. It was significantly over cooked, to the point I thought I was eating...More

Description
Nestled alongside a quiet lagoon, our fourth restaurant, and the first to feature the upstairs, upscale Top of the Market, has been a dining destination for bay area residents since 1982. This beautiful restaurant also features a full-service cocktail bar and lounge area, and a popular oyster bar. Patio dining is available in the summer months.
