What a terrific little coffee shop. Get the cold brew on a hot day, its amazing. Their other offerings are also excellent. After the first visit, I had to keep going back. Service was outstanding, and the scene was pleasant. Everyone was so friendly.

Once we'd had coffee here we kept coming back. They do good iced coffees if that's your thing, they do good european style 'strong' cappuccinos and their decaffeinated is as flavoursome as any 'regular' style coffee, plus they do all the expected longer coffee drinks etc. My wife declared the banana bread (it comes as a miniature loaf) the best... Right on State Street where chain stores abound is this little character of a coffee house with exceptional coffees. If you want local and you want coffee done right... here is your chance.

Went there for morning coffee which was great. Got the homemade biscuits that came with a raspberry preserve, Fantastic! Busy on a Sunday morning but line moved quickly.

They source it from green fair-trade farmers, and they roast it on site. They sell the beans by the pound with excellent descriptions. They also know how to make The Perfect Cup of Coffee -- or cappuccino, or latte, or ... which menu variety sets The French Press apart even from my all-time favorite, Philz, a Bay Area phenomenon now... We do like to look around a little for a really good Barista made coffee when we are travelling, and French Press in SB was perfect! The almond cappo not only looked beautiful but tasted great too, AND wasnt too huge either - a great experience.

They roast coffee, and make the best coffee there is in this area. This is the locals go to place for best coffee, espresso, Latte etc.

We had a wonderful breakfast comprised of cappuccinos, espressos, and some amazing food options that included scones, ham & cheese croissants, and toast. This cafe restaurant was busy, but service was quick, service was excellent, and the food was even better. We wanted to try the buttermilk biscuits, but that's for the next time we visit!

Great place to meet friends and business for a great cup of coffee and pastry. I have had several meetings on their patio, and enjoy the ambiance.
