We ate inside by the bar, but you can also eat on a stool outside with a view. The fish and chips don’t disappoint. Not that soapy breaded type, just perfectly crispy.

We had a lovely dinner here. Crab cakes and fish n chips. Great atmosphere. Very busy! You could tell it was a locals AND tourists fave. Only draw back was difficulty parking

The food was very good as well as the service. Only issue for me was it was busy and the quarters are cramped. Definitely worth the visit.

Its a joke in our family that I would drive all the way to Santa Barbara to eat here. They have the very best fried scallops ever. We've been coming here for over 25 years (we live in Orange County) and have never been disappointed....More

We have dined at Brophy's off and on for 20+ years. It would be nice if they went back to focusing on quality rather than quantity. We (3 of us) ordered fish & chips, New York steak and cup of chowder/house salad. Usually ordering a...More

Top of my list in Santa Barbara. A sure sign that a place is great when it is crowded with locals. You may have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.

You feel the flavour of the ocean as you sit on the outside patio and enjoy the sight sounds and taste of your dinner. Food was very good. Wine was reasonable priced. View was beautiful. We ate dinner and saw the lights of the boats...More

Hubby & I enjoyed a wonderful meal here at sunset. We had a small outside table which allowed us to watch all the stuff going on at the harbor...sea urchin loading...returning fishermen...harbor patrol....strolling tourists....all while enjoying a glass of wine with cioppino and huge bowl...More

A fun, upbeat restaurant with excellent servers. The vibe is very relaxed and friendly. A good mix of us touristas and locals. The food is good, but not more than that. Having said this, my wife loved the clam chowder, but I thought it was...More

No reservations but you can put your name down and have a drink in the bar and they will grab you when the table is ready.

Description
We are a casual seafood house that is located right on the dock in the Santa Barbara Harbor. You’ll find a bustling scene of fisherman, young professionals and sand-sprinkled beach-goers nearly every night of the week at this true-blue waterfront institution. Dungeness crab cocktail, oysters on the half-shell and fried shrimp round out the “small” menu offerings. Fresh fish specials, such as grilled white sea bass from local waters, mahi mahi dusted in Cajun spices and pan-blackened local yellowtail, are highlights on the “long” menu. No matter what, libations are always in order at this locals’ favorite gathering place. Everyone is welcome at Brophy's, hope to see you soon.
