Solid Indian. Their mango chicken is awesome. Do not miss this dish. Service and ambience also very nice. Great spot.

I do more take out from here than dine in, but dining in is very solid too. They work hard, the food is consistently good. They don't make mistakes and I am very satisfied. (having said that, the pappadoms were stale last night). It is a little pricey for take out Indian food, but this is Santa Barbara.

We eat Indian food at least once a week and travel extensively. The lunch buffet had a good selection of dishes but they were lackluster. The chicken had gristle in it and we couldn't cut it because there were no knives to cut it. The raita (yogurt with cucumber and carrots) was very good. Didn't order chai (hot Indian tea... More

Pros 1. Good food. 2. Two pappad with meal. 3. Liked paneer tikka. Cons 1. Price. 2. Playing religious hindu worship music while customers are eating meat. I did not find this ethical and hurt my sentiments. 3. Sitting arrangement very crowded. 4. Waiter forgets if we want some specific tweaking like coke with ice or without. 5. Sugar in... More

My wife and I had dinner here and we both commented that we wish our local Indian restaurant would come to Flavor of India to learn how to cook. Lamb was so tender and the flavors, even though we order mild for my wife, were exquisite.

We spend 12 years near Vancouver Canada where there is a huge East Indian community and plenty of Indian restaurants to choose from. It's much harder to find Indian food on the central coast but we've been to this restaurant quite a few times for their lunch buffet. Last week we had dinner there for the first time. It's not... I ate there with a friend who lives in Santa Barbara as she is a Vegan. I had the buffet and was not impressed as it seemed to be watered-down India food. It was certainly very busy, however, I have eaten much better options.

We were nearby and could smell their food so we popped in for lunch. It's a buffet with a good, but limited selection of food. Proteins with curry, tandori, masala served with great naan and almost the best rice pudding I've ever had. They had several vegetarian dishes. It's all you can eat for $11.
