Had dinner this weekend. The service was excellent and some of the best in Santa Barbara. Food was just ok. Disappointing given the price we paid.

Elegant restaurant with excellent service. We made our reservation using Open Table and they quickly seated us when we arrived. We were a party of 7 and our server anticipated our needs, adjusted dishes and was perfect. Our guest of honor appreciated the wine selection. I enjoyed the Franciacorta sparking wine which was delicious. Others in the party were fine... More

Just what we were hoping to find--an upscale Italian restaurant with classic fine dining appearance and just the right level of sophistication without the slightest air of pretension. The greeting at the door and a guided stroll to our table was appreciated. The ambiance, from inviting aromas to perfect lighting most inviting . . . great stage setting for the... More

Before I get to the food review...the restaurant is a bit too cozy. They obviously seat every table regardless of the actual space provided. I felt like my personal space was invaded multiple times by passersby and the table next to me. That said, I arrived for dinner and knew I was ordering the gnocchi. However, they were out of... The dining room is elegant. The service immaculate. The menu extensive. The wine list is important. No problem finding just the right vintage Caymus. Each course is perfectly done. A little more expensive than other Italian restaurants, but they attempt a little more too. One of Santa Barbara's best for a special occasion or a trip on an expense account.

Well, this might be the best restaurant in Santa Barbara. It's authentic Italian, immaculate in preparation and presentation, outstanding service and staff, and the companion bar (Crudo), could be the destination alone, based on the large whole Prosciutto ham carved to order, along with the bar specials for casual dining. Wine list was excellent, and we had a party of... More

Wonderful Italian. Consistent. Great warm seafood salad. Pasta is al dente. Don't miss the tiramisu. Have never been disappointed here. Nice decor. Great service.

From the first to the last course, Olio E Lamone has never disappointed. The pumpkin ravioli were phenomenal.... not too sweet and not drowning in butter. They were perfect! Try the Ephiphany Petite Syrah if you like red wine. The braised shortribs were also perfectly done. You won't go wrong here!

This establishment has been here for many years. The service is first rate but alas the food has slipped. No longer do you see the owners nor feel their guidance regarding the menu. On a recent visit my friends enjoyed the mache salad with white anchovies and the special Osso Bucho while I had two appetizers, the eggplant soufflé with... More
