This place is old school big time!! It’s been in numerous commercials and TV shows. Food is better than you would expect and the service is great.

If you like homemade soup, you will love this place. Everything we have tried has been good. Do not be put off by the shabby exterior, inside is clean and good.
The cafe is located on a country road right outside of town. As others have commented, the location is used a lot by Hollywood so the outside looks a bit beat up which is part of it's charm. The inside is really cutely decorated with...More

More of a place that has been in countless movies and commercials. The food is standard diner. I had the Patty Melt, which was OK.
A real landmark Sierra Highway restaurant. Great breakfasts. The Café has been used in numerous commercials and several movies over the years. Plan to wait for a table on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Great restaurant. Food is excellent and the atmosphere is very down home. Favorite of the locals and not so locals
