Not as posh as some of the other places on the pier but great food. Best bread bowl clam Chowder I had and good fish and chips too. Even a nice cocktail. Good view out to sea

This place is always a must whenever we are in Santa Cruz. We always go for the claim chowder and the view from the restaurant is awesome. You are right on the water!

Popped in for a light lunch at Woodies Cafe while visiting the Santa Cruz Wharf. The selection was varied and the food was made fresh albeit the service a little slow. It is adjacent and attached to a sit-down restaurant and I suspect they share...More

Don't waste your money here. The burger was tiny, the bun was hard, the fries were terrible. My son's grilled cheese was hard on the outside and the cheese wasn't even melted on the inside. Three of us spent $55 and we didn't even have...More

Unfortunate, to be sure.

Had a large group- that was the only difficult part for us. We ended up splitting into several small groups for ordering and seating. The place was hopping on a Sunny Sunday afternoon. They ran out of 'buzzers' to call when your food was ready-...More

We only had a few hours to stop in Santa Cruz on a marathon coastal trip from LA to Wine Country. We loved checking out all of the wharves along the way, and this one was on our list. It was dinner time and thanks...More

We returned to Woodies Cafe because we enjoyed the clam chowder (5 years prior). On this visit, it was hot and soup did not sound refreshing. My husband and I ordered the fish tacos, which come with beans and rice. The fish was fresh with...More

Easy to order at the counter and then find seating with an ocean and coast view. Reasonable prices for the area and for the view. Tried the garlic fries which must be a bit of a local specialty. Also had them at the Giants game....More

Tim, Glad both the Giants and Woodies were able to hit a home run with the garlic fries. We strive to be high end fast food, and judging from the 5 stars, it looks like we accomplished that for you. Thanks!

At Woodies Cafe, our focus is on quality. We pride ourselves on super-friendly service to accompany the top quality ingredients we use in all our entrees. Families gravitate to Woodies for all kinds of reasons. It starts with our menu, which is All-American fun food, all made from high quality ingredients at very affordable prices. For adults, we offer great entrees like fish and chips, teriyaki chicken, and seafood pasta. And for burger lovers, we serve our Killer Burgers quite simply because that's exactly what they are: big, juicy and delicious. Kids love Woodies too because of our Special Kid's Menu with choice of corn dog, hot dog, grilled cheese or chicken nuggets, each served with french fries! We not only have delicious food, but we also have a spectacular ocean view and a gift shop with Santa Cruz written all over it. There's no better place to find beachwear, sweatshirts, t-shirts, flip flops and a wide assortment of other wearable memorabilia that combine quality and affordability. Whether you're visiting for our tasty burgers, our delicious ice cream shakes, or simply for the breath-taking view of the beach, your stop at Woodies Cafe will never disappoint!
