I've been to the various burger places in Santa Cruz. Jack's is funkier, with little decor. Parking is tight, so expect to park in one of the main city structures and then walk to it. The usual deal is about $7 for a cheeseburger and fries. Variants are slightly more. The burgers are not large, but I find that the... More

A local staple - near Nickelodeon Theater and downtown shopping - food good and on point every single time. Salmon burger - MUY FABULOSO! Fresh condiments, pleasant service, uncluttered, unfettered environment - simple, quick and TASTY. Decent pricing and reliable quality makes this a destination restaurant in many ways - you always get more than you pay for and ALWAYS... More

Jack's is known for their burgers and shakes. Made fresh to order every time. Staff is friendly and you can sit outside. Great spot for a quick eat before a movie or lunch.

Jack's is a tradition in downtown Santa Cruz. These locally made burgers are fresh and tasty and not too expensive. They also offer veggie burgers. And I love their shakes.

Not bad ... but nothing special. Very good if you're downtown Santa Cruz and need a quick burger. Giving it three stars is not a knock on the place ... just calling it like it is. I would visit again if I needed a quick burger while doing business in the area.

This is a local hamburger joint, the kind of place that has small tables, a menu full of burgers and fries, and lots of local customers. It's a small spot with indoor and outdoor ordering windows, There's a small parking spot that fills up quickly, so plan to park elsewhere and walk over to Jack's. I had a burger and... More

This was a random find by my wife and I as we were looking for a place to get some food for us and our 3 year old son. This ended up being perfect and one of the better burgers we've ever had. If you like burgers, you should opt for the double burger (or double cheeseburger) and their prices... More

The food was ok, but nothing special that would make come back again. French fries seemed to use old oil to fry and the taste was not good.
