This is a big busy restaurant serving a cheap lunch menu and standard dishes - fish and chips, burgers etc.- patronised when we were there mainly by families and senior citizens. The food was good value but the ambience lacks charm.

We always seem to end up at Gilda's for breakfast, it has become a tradition. I was a bit disappointed to see they no longer have Eggs Benedict on the menu, but I survived. Tasty Bloody Mary, spicy but not painful.

I have been eating at Gilda's since the 70's. was alway a good breakfast and lunch place on the warf. for the last 6 months we have waited too long for service, when we did get service, it was as if we were not welcome. This last January we waited a long time for the waitress, she was talking with... More

They've been around forever, always bustling with an older crowd. Food is great, service is great. Have the fresh fish whatever it is. I'm partial to the sand dabs.

We went there for breakfast as they said they had wonderful Bloody Marys and then no bartender. We were already on the pier so we stayed. Food was good I thought a little pricey. Coffee is outrageous 3.00, seriously. We really didn't want all the meat they gave you and would rather have had hash browns. Waitress adv couldn't substitute... More

We visit Gilda's regularly. The wharf is an exciting visit in Santa Cruz. Many harbor seals reside on the infrastructure of the wharf. They never fail to interest visitor. Gilda's food is consistently good. I would call it like good home cooked food. I recomment the fish as I have never been disappointed.

The Stagnaro family (Gilda's family) and my father's family were long-time friends decades ago, though that generation is gone and we now live far away with no contact with the descendants. It was nice to get back to this restaurant and sample some seafood. My wife had the Friday special, which was cioppino. It was a huge platter and delicious.... More

I love eating at Gilda's. They have dinner specials every day of the week. Their food/specials are very reasonable in price. Resonable size portions. Every Wednesday they have prime rib for $10.95. Warm bread and butter comes with every meal. The service is great. The prime rib is popular so get there early.

Excellent view of the water and sea life. We saw sea lions, otters and countless types of birds while having an excellent breakfast. Sue Sue was our waitress and she was very efficient and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful view, great food and wonderful staff. We love the historical photos and newspaper articles on the walls. The Stagnaro family is part of the fabric of Santa Cruz. We loved and miss Gilda.
