Came here to meet a friend for tea. Upon entry, the inviting aroma of fresh coffee waved to me and my nostrils I took a moment to scan the immediate premises as I waited for my friend. There were about three open umbrellas at the back at some extended sitting area next to the Brick and Mortar wall and fountain.... More

I actually thought I had walked into Starbucks before the sign 'pete's coffee' drew my attention. Its amazing that you can make a clone of the Buckster and make it even worse. Cappuccino was simply dreadful - anyone can pour frothy milk into coffee - the trick is to make it taste great. Here, it starts with average coffee beans... More

with a wonderful patio that could use more attention to clean up. I'm a bit tired of the 'chain' coffee houses - Peets tries to excel. Nice people, quality product.

Peet's is unassuming, comfortable, casual and easy-going. I have always gotten good service here even at 5:30 a.m. on the way to the airport. And of course I love the coffee. (And the pastries.)

A/C was strong, which is good. Cappuccino was bit weak. Flavored iced tea coolers were too sweet for my liking. Not much place to sit indoors. Overall, if you can get a seat, it's a nice place to chill.

A local coffee shop with a great common courtyard where you can sip your beverage sans the paper cup.

We arrived on a Wednesday morning at 10:15 am for a first time visit to Peet's...stood in line and were greeted by a stone faced employee,we ordered and then were told we couldn't have what we wanted as there was a power failure and we also needed to pay cash. No problem we said...happily changed our order to regular coffee... More

So much better than Starbucks but just as pricey. They have great ice coffee and delicious muffins!! Perfect place to stop for breakfast! They also have free WiFi and a beautiful outside patio!

My fiance fell in love with this place right away. Their coffee is strong and has a good flavor, and their drink menu includes all the usual upscale options. The baristas are well trained and fast, and the location is perfect. We would stop in in the evenings to get a warm drink while we walked to the mall (about... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
