I went there, and the beef was so tough I split my tooth, seriously! It is a happening place, but it is very loud, and you cant hear who you are talking to or with. The breakfast is suppose to be really good, and Id go back to try that, but if you want a pub, there are better ones........ More

I can't say the menu was superb, but they have good pub fare. The beer selection is good, but the service is friendly and great for an English Pub. The atmosphere for a Pittsburgh Steelers game was great and what you would expect from a Steelers bar. I would be very excited to see what it was like during a... More

Our favorite place! A mixed crowd of locals and visitors. Has darts, pool and a trivia night. Great place to eat and watch sports.

Visited the weekend of the Champions League Final. Modelled on a typical British Bar. Staff very friendly, good selection of draught beers and 'lagers'. We had a Scottish breakfast which included the traditional square sausage, well cooked and presented.

My wife and I were made to feel like locals in this friendly neighbourhood bar. We didn't have any food, but the service and warmest of welcomes enticed us back 5 of the 7 nights we were in Santa Monica. Thanks to Jimmy, Barney, Dave and the rest for making us feel so comfortable.

There is nothing particularly endearing about the C'n B on its own, except everything. It doesn't have the most charming interior, for example or have a huge menu of many options. Instead, it does British pub food simply and well. Their fish and chips are good, their peas are from a can, and the beer is perfect in its temperature... More

Everything that's bad about British pubs can be found here; miserable service, over priced food, seedy/dirty. Owner charged us a cover charge because football was on TV, but we noted 'regulars' who entered later were not charged. The Scottish lady who took the food order and served it should not work in an industry where she had to come in... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
