Ordered lunch from them with a group from work. It was ready fairly quickly and the prices were good. I had one of their burritos with enchilada sauce. Next time I think it'd get it without lettuce. Not bad for cheap eats.

This place delivers good food for a fair price, with fast friendly service. They have seating, but you order at the counter and pick it up when ready. Lots of menu choices. It's favorite with the working man, student, traveler, and more. It's always busy at lunch but they move fast. The place is clean, safe, and friendly. Great for... More

First let me say this is the original Campos which has been in its present location for the last 50 years or so. That said, the sad truth is what started out as a low cost, authentic Mexican cuisine fast food restaurant with a strong local following has degenerated into an overpriced, run of the mill taco place frequented primarily... I have been a fan of Campos chicken tacos for over 25 years. They always come out right. the Campos special w/out beans burrito is also a favorite here.

Have driven past this institution for years but Friday was my first visit. Husband and I shared three rolled tacos and a carne asada burrito. Delicious! Order at the counter and pay, you'll get a number and you pick up your food when it's ready. Not romantic by any means, but homemade and delicious! I will return.

Have been coming here for years since who knows when and it is always consistent, always neat and clean. It has a loyal following similar to Tommy's on Beverly and Pinks had before they became long lines of tourists destinations. But Campos deserves success so I won't mind if you all show up. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

OK, so when you are in LA, there are a bunch of options for Mexican food. There are food trucks and Mexican restaurants nearly everywhere. I make it to LA about once a year, but EVERY year, I plan a stop at Campos Mexican Food. It has kind of become a highlight of my LA journey. Please don't be mistaken,... More

Campos has been here forever. I've eaten here every now and then for decades. Range of customers from blue-collar to college to mercedes. Standard Mexican food. Above average but nothing special. BTW, the bad review--from jersey--clearly clueless

We visited Campos based on the recommendation of a local. We were thrilled with the low prices and tasty food! We also enjoyed the salsa bar. My friend from LA thought it was one of the best value meals she has had since moving to LA. The atmosphere is nothing special, but I would recommend this restaurant nonetheless!

I can't even call it Mexican food because that would be doing the cuisine a disservice. Never ever go here! We ordered chicken enchilada, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, rice & beans. All I can say is I hope I won't get sick. Guacamole was put in a blender and was bland. Beans def out of a can. Nothing but chopped... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
